Kim's p.o.v

8 years old

"Hi mommy!" I exclaimed, as she had the usual sad expression on her face. "Hi baby" she says, trying to smile, as she picked me up. "sweet girl" she whispered, kissing my cheek. "No, mommy, I'm too old for kisses!" I claimed, giggling. "You'll never be too old for my kisses" she laughs, bringing me to my room, and laying me in my bed. "I don't wanna go to sleep!" I whined, as she laughed at my behavior.

"I'll tell you what. If you try your best to go to sleep. I'll take you to the park in the morning" she tells me, causing my face to light up. I slammed my head on pillow, squeezing my eyes shut. "Okay!" I tell her excited, I could hear her laugh at my response. I felt shuffling as she got off my bed, causing my eyes to shoot open. "You not sleeping with me mommy?" I question, causing her to turn her head to me. I asked because she usually slept with me. "You want me too?" She asks. "Yes please" I responded. "Okay, kiwi" she smiles, walking over to my bed. Sliding under the covers, snuggling with me. "Night, mommy" I mumble as my eyes began to involuntarily close..........

"The park!" I yelled in my monster voice, mom laughing at my silliness. I quickly ran over to the swings, as mom trailed behind. "Push me mommy, push me!" I shouted, causing her to shake her head, laughing. "Mommy!" I yelled in my monster voice. "Okay kiwi, calm down" she tells me, getting over to me and pushing the swing. I swung for a long time. I finally got off when something caught my attention. I saw a little girl with long light brown hair. Getting sand thrown in her eyes by a little boy.

I ran over to her and pushed the boy over, causing him to cry. "Don't hurt me!" The little girl says in defense, rubbing her eyes. I looked at her confused. Didn't I just save her? "Hurt you?" I say, confused. I shake my head at her, and grab her hand. "Come on, let's wipe your face" i state, pulling her over to mom. "Honey who's this?" Mom asks, looking kinda of concerned. "This is a kid I'm adopting mommy!" I explain, cheerfully. "Sweet, you can't adopt a child who probably already has a mother" mom says, causing me to frown. "I do have a mommy " the little girl says, while wiping her eyes.

"But mommy!" I whined. "I like her and I wanna keep her" I add while hugging her. "Kimberly, no" mom says in a serious tone. "Okay, mommy" I pout, while looking down. "Hey, stop trying to kidnap my sister!" A little boy with short light brown hair yells, while running towards us. "I'm Kim!" I tell him, ecstatic. "He slants his eyes at me and says "okay, Kim. Are you trying to kidnap my sister?!" While grabbing her hand. "No Hayze. She helped me." she states, defending me. "Oh okay, thank you then" the boy, says while still holding her hand.

"Your welcome!" I respond, jumping up and down. "Mommy, mommy can we take both home" i plead. "HEY NO!" Hayze yells. "Run Hayzel, let's go!" He says while trying to pull her away. "Kim, what I did I say about adopting kids earlier" mom says, sternly. Causing me to pout again. "Okay mommy" I mumble melancholic. "HAYZEL, HAYZE!" I hear a woman with long blonde hair yell. "Mom, mom!" Hayze screams and runs to her, hugging her legs. "This girl is trying to kidnap us" Hayze says while pointing at me. "Oh honey I'm sure it just a misunderstanding" the woman says.

"Oh mommy no, this is my friend" Hayzel smiles, causing me to do the same. "Oh if that's the case, do you wanna exchange contact information?" Their mom says to mine. Making Hayze slant his eyes some more. "Oh, yes of course" mom says as she pulls out her phone. "I'm Christy" their mom greets, holding her hand out. "I'm Mira" mom replied, shaking her hand.

And that's how I met Hayzel and Hayze. My best friend, and..... other. Since then we've been inseparable!

I was quickly getting ready for school as I hear my parents, trying to quietly argue. "I have work, you can't even drive your own daughter to school?" My mom question, lowering her voice, which was lathered in irritation. "I'm busy, am I not?" Dad respond in his usual bland tone. I sighed, leaving my room. "I can walk to school" I tell her, causing her to turn to me. She sighed, looking back at dad, and shaking her head. She and dad argue a lot. Because he does nothing but work, and is pretty negligent towards me and mom. "No, honey. I can take you" she exhaled, grabbing my hand and walking to the door......
