"Mhmmmhm!"
"Pleas-"
"I beg y-"
He was interrupted as his face was dumped into a bucket filled with cold, wet manure.
Hell. It was pure hell and agony for him. Humiliation and pain was not important right now. It's his life. He's pretty sure that he won't be able to escape this hell. There is nobody in the Inn, so screaming is not going to work. Fighting back isn't going to work. The only thing he can do is to beg.
He can feel all his blood rushing towards his head as he is tied upside down in the most coarse, rough rope that is tied tightly around him. So tight, that he's pretty sure that he's losing blood circulation around his body.
But that's the least of his worries as in front of him was the god of hell. Not even satan is cruel enough to do such heinous actions. In front of him was a young demon staring at him monotonously. No emotion, no form of expression. Nothing. It was as if he was a cold statue. However, his eyes! Filled with evilness and malice. It doesn't fail to always make his heart race a thousand beats per minute. He's bound to get a heart attack soon.
"So, let me get this straight." Yuichiro said as he was summarising the information that he received. "You're saying that the girl you were courting aka, that demon bitch, was a human when you courted her. However, she turned into a demon. You, being the lovesick bastard are still in love with her so you followed he commands. And you basically became her dog and fed her your poor victims."
He quickly nodded in response. Ignoring the insults. Dared not to meet his eye to his.
"Pft. You're really pathetic. In the end you didn't even got your love returned. You're a really really miserable person."
He felt like crying.
"Now, tell me what are you going to do if I let you go?" Asked Yuichiro.
"I will serve you for eternity, master!" I will follow you no matter where you go and I shall be your lowly dog, who will follow your orders no matter what!" Exclaimed the staff.
"Right. By the way... You're the owner of the inn, right?"
"Y-yes!"
"The reason why there's only you working here, even though you're the owner of this Inn. Is because you had to kill your staff when there weren't any opportunities to get human food for that demon. And the only source of easy victims was your staff. Isn't it?"
"...Yes." Tears dripped from his eyes as he thought about all the People that he spent working with. He remembered their smile, the times where they were like a family and the times they struggled together. His eyes just started to burst out even more tears as his eyes were like a waterfall releasing so much salty tears. Just tears and tears of guilt.
Yuichiro just stared at the crying man with conflicted emotions.
"Do you want to redeem yourself?"
"Y-yes. However, I shall do whatever you wish, master!" He exclaimed with determination with his face.
Yuichiro signed as he cut of the rope that was keeping the man upside down.
A thump was heard as well as a crack from the man.
"I want you to listen to my order. There is a group of people in an organisation called the demon slayers. They anilihate demons who are just like her in hopes to help humanity. Every time you come across those people I want you to help them. Give them free medical care and do everything in your best ability to make their life better for them. They are people who risk their life to protect people so I want you to also help others as well. I also want you to help everyone as much as possible. If you see a hungry child, be their hope. Feed them, bathe them, shelter them and protect them. If you see someone getting hurt, be their hero. I may not see you as someone good but you can be good in someone else's eyes. I want you to strive for the world to become better."
