Chapter 6: flying death

Meanwhile with the group after they left the cliff they searched a way to go down the cliff and they found it after a while

"Over here!" Rach shouted alerting the other

"Well we can now get down" Lurio told the obvious and started walking down the hill

They then started walking down the hill when Pion noticed a shadow under him

"Huh? What is this shadow under me?" Pion asked and then looked up

"OH S###!" Pion cursed as he aimed his gun at a brown bird with the front light yellow its feet a purplish color and a yellow crest at its head

"What is it Pion-" Lari asked looking back only to see Pion getting grabbed by the bird "PION" Lari then yelled

"What happened- F###" Lurio tried to ask but then cursed

"What should we do?" Lari asked while Rach tried to aim at the bird but then got stopped by Lurio

"There's nothing we can do" Lurio responded as he continued to watch Pion getting stabbed by another of that bird and getting ripped in pieces

"What do you mean!" Lari shouted and started shaking Lurio to no avail

"...there's now way to save him" Lurio responded as he continued to watch Pion getting his intestines getting eaten screaming

Rach was covering his mouth and looking down not wanting to see what was happening up there

But then they heard a roar and they all looked up and saw another creature hitting Pion face ending him and taking it away

"What was that!" Rach shouted trying seeing it again

"...I don't know but we should keep moving if we don't want to end like Pion" Lurio responded and started walking down

"B-b-but Pion?" Lari asked to Lurio starting to cry

"He is dead" Lurio stopped to responded and simply said that and started walking a bit more hesitant after saying that

Lari then started to cry even more getting to the ground while Rach comforted her and Lurio stopped after not hearing their footsteps

It took 5 minutes for Lari to stop crying and she was still recovering when a group of 5 people came

"What happened? We heard crying and we got here?" The front man said he was wearing a hat and all other people were wearing climbing gear

The group stayed silent not knowing how to respond when they heard a cry and when they looked at the sound

The last man in the back got grabbed but Lurio grabbed his gun by his left side and shot it trough the skull

"What the hell!?" The last man shouted visibly confused and scared he backed to the wall and fell down

"...a mutated bird" Lurio simply responded walking to the corpse

"A mutated what?!" The front man yelled

"...do you know the nuclear factory nearby?" Lurio asked at the man turning back to see him

"Y-yea why?" The front man asked

"An animal got close to it and mutated and wreak havoc and, it's radiation made the other animal nearby to mutate" Lurio explained and turned his back to the front man and helped the fallen man

After that explanation the climbing group got shocked and scared after that

"So. You are telling me... that this creature got mutated? By another creature that was infected with the radiation?" Questioned the front man to Lurio
