Plot: it's Bubble Wand's 1st day at kindergarten! When she reveals that she has 2 mothers, some kids make fun of her! The teacher, Ms. Gemmer feels bad for her, so the class decides to celebrate it!
(+ this makes sense since it's the 12th day of Pride Month! So Happy Pride Month!)
Bubble Wand stood nervously infront of the kindergarten building, her heart pounding in her chest as she held her mothers hand tightly. Her two mothers, Match and Bubble, were smiling down at her proudly.
"Are you excited, sweetie?" Bubble asked.
Bubble Wand nodded, a small smile appearing on her face. "Yeah, I'm excited! But I'm also a little nervous."
Match chuckled softly, giving Bubble Wand's hand a gentle squeeze. "Don't be like nervous, sweetie. Kindergarten is going to be like fun! You'll make lots of like new friends and learn lots of like new things!"
Bubble Wand took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. "Okay, I'll try my best," she said, her voice shaking slightly.
Just then, the school bell rang, signaling the start of the day.
"Looks like it's time to go," Bubble said, giving her daughter a final hug. "We'll be back to pick you up later, okay sweetie?"
Bubble Wand nodded, giving her mothers a wave as they left. She took a deep breath, steeling herself, before walking into the building.
The kindergarten classroom was bright and colorful, filled with toys and books. The teacher, Ms. Gemmer, smiled warmly at Bubble Wand as she entered.
"Welcome, welcome," Ms. Gemmer said, walking over to Bubble Wand. "You must be Bubble Wand. I'm Ms. Gemmer, your teacher for the year. It's nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too," Bubble Wand said, her nerves still present. She looked around the classroom, noticing some of the other students looking at her curiously.
Ms. Gemmer put a hand on Bubble Wand's shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, sweetie. Everyone is very friendly here. Let's find you a spot to sit, okay?"
She led Bubble Wand over to a table where a few other students were already sitting.
The students at the table looked up at Bubble Wand as she sat down. Some of them smiled and waved, while others just stared at her curiously.
Ms. Gemmer smiled at the class. "Alright, everyone. This is Bubble Wand. She's our new classmate, why don't you introduce yourself, sweetie?"
Bubble Wand felt her heart racing as all eyes turned towards her. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.
"Hi everyone, my name is Bubble Wand," she said softly. "I-I have two moms."
The room was silent for a moment, everyone processing this new information. Then, suddenly, a chorus of giggles and snickers filled the classroom.
"Ew! That's weird!" One student said
"Yeah! I bet your parents are gonna get divorced soon!" Another student shot back.
"Yeah, divorce is common among same-sex parents." A third student remarked.
Bubble Wand's cheeks turned red as she felt her eyes start to fill with tears. She looked down at her lap, trying to hold back the tears.
"It's time for lunch everyone!" Ms. Gemmer announced as the bell rung.
The students around her sprang up from their seats, chattering excitedly. Bubble Wand slowly got up, grabbing her lunchbox from her bag.
