Ted Lasso: Rise and Shine! Are you guys ready?

Coach Beard: I'm already at your door with coffee, Coach.

Ted Lasso: Lacy?

I woke up with a jolt as my alarm clock started ringing. The clock read 5:30AM.

Jesus Christ, I thought. My head was pounding and my stomach started to churn. Memories of last night slowly started to come back to me. How I met that loner guy at the bar and how the two of us ended up in the bathroom minutes later. Not one of my finest moments. Hopefully this is a big town and I won't end up seeing him again.

After a quick shower and putting on some makeup, I finally started to look alive again. Holy fucking shit, I thought to myself as I looked inside my closet. Dozens of dress pants, skirts, dresses, and blouses were hanging neatly. How did she even know my size? This woman is a fucking genius.

I slipped on a blouse and a skirt and looked at myself in the mirror. After flattening my skirt and playing with the hem of my blouse, I finally looked decent enough to be seen be the general public.

As I was reaching for my purse, a rhythmic knock radiated off my door. There's only one person who would knock on my door like that this early in the morning. I walked down the steps to see Ted and Beard starring at me with wide eyes.

"Holy smokes, Lacy Loo! Look at you!" Ted exclaimed while motioning to my outfit. Coach Beard started fanning himself after handing me a cup of coffee. While they were both dressed in AFC Richmond gear and khaki's, I did look a little bit overdressed.

"Shut up," I laughed and rolled my eyes, "Let's go."

It was about a ten minute walk from our flats to Nelson Road Stadium. It was a beautiful walk, being able to see all the locals riding their bikes and walking their kids to school. The only thing that was a little off was that everyone was staring at us, especially Ted. It's like everyone already knew who we were.

While passing a man sitting on the bench reading the paper, I looked over and saw the headline for todays paper: Americans Ted, Beard, and Lacy: The New Faces of AFC Richmond

"Christ, looks like we're already famous," I nudged Ted to take a look at the paper.

As we were walking to the stadium, I really wanted to tell the guys about what happened last night. I guess we're all friends now and this is the kind of thing you tell your friends about.

"Hey guys, I gotta get something off my chest," I looked at them. Ted looked at me, smiling. The little dimple on his cheek making my heart fall into my stomach.

"Do tell, Ricky Bell." Ted gave me undivided attention.

"I- uh- I'm really nervous about today." I laughed to myself. I couldn't tell Ted that I slept with some guy last night. What was I thinking? Coach Beard looked at me and Ted and then took a sip of his coffee while smiling. That man always seems like he knows everything.

"Gosh, me too. My stomach's got more butterflies in it than the Amazon Rainforest. But ya know what? I think we're gonna have a great first day. Fingers crossed that the teacher doesn't give us homework." Ted laughed and kept walking. I let out a fake laugh and followed the two men.

The second we reached Nelson Road Stadium, the feeling in my stomach was indescribable. It was all just hitting me that I was actually doing this. But, it was all just hitting me now that they wanted me. I'm not sure what Ted, Beard, and I did to make them want us here, but I was filled with so much pride that I actually did something right.
