Azazel was right.
In a way.
When they were apart, the bond between them would lay dormant and their bodies would not react to the lack of intimacy. But only the body. Now, her heart craved him. Now all she wanted every moment she was away from him, was to be in his arms, cuddled beneath his sheets.
They had only been apart a few hours since completing the bond. They stayed together for a while after, relishing in the comfort of one another, finally being made whole. This experience was new to both of them. Azazel didn't want to see her go and if it were up to him she would be moved into his wing of the castle that very instant.
But, it was her, who decided she needed to leave. She knew everyone would be able to see or at least smell the change in her, and she wasn't prepared to tell anyone. She needed to stay away from everyone for a few days, to sort out all the possibilities in her head, and come to a decision about how she was going to approach her father.
Irina was restless, pacing around her room as her pet snakes looked on in confusion. They had missed their human, as she spent less and less time with them in the past several days and now here she was before them, not giving them any attention.
Her body wouldn't stay still and her skin tingled, anxious for something- anything- to happen. Whatever it would be, she feared it.
As dawn neared and the rain that sputtered from above came to a stop, Irina had not calmed a bit. Her nerves were wrecked and her body reeled with the want to regret, but she couldn't take back what was done, neither did she want to. She knew she should want. She should regret it. She just couldn't.
For the first time, she held her utmost desire in her hand. The very thing she had longed for in this desolate castle.
Intimacy.
In every aspect of the word. A companion, to share her most private thoughts. A lover. A friend. A husband.
And she never thought she'd find it here.
Being away from Azazel was hard. She felt an aching hole in her chest and a hollowness between her legs. She wanted him. She craved him.
Irina closed her eyes as she brushed her fingers across her arm and over her chest. Her body flamed with goosebumps, a deep chill running through her bones. Her mind whirled with the memories of his hands on her, holding her, guiding her, pleasuring her.
Irina shook her head, refusing to get lost in the moment of bliss. This was not a time for bliss this was a time for decision making. She had to figure this out.
But her body disagreed. Wetness pooled between her thighs, soaking her panties with her desire.
Irina bit her lips, sitting down on her bed much to her pet snake's delight. They slithered down from the window sill and coiled themselves around her wrists and glided their way up to her shoulders.
"There is no lying about this." She whispered to them, "He's going to find out one way or another."
It was just a matter of who told him.

A fucking party?
A party?
Azazel threw his glass against his dresser shattering it into pieces as anger surged through him. Everyone in one place at the same time was not ideal. If Irina had any hope of keeping this a secret for longer than a day, she was about to be sorely mistaken.
He wanted to give her time, but he had no time to give her. Lucifer slipped that out from under him- from both of them!
Azazel tugged at his hair, his horns appearing darker than normal as wrath flooded his body. As soon as the order came through from Lucifer, he had shut himself in his room. It was hard enough separating himself from Irina for the time being, giving her the space to process everything that had been happening. He still wanted to give that to her, but Lucifer finding out his beloved daughter was no longer pure at her birthday party, probably wasn't the best time for such an announcement.
