"You're a swords-master as well?..." Choi Han asked.

"Yes." Javier answered without much expression.

"Do you.. also serve a master?"

"Yes.." He sounded a bit shy for some reason. "I'm a personal bodyguard and escort for Lloyd..." Javier said unwillingly.

"Isn't it honorable protecting your master? Cale is very kind to me and everyone else!" Choi Han exclaimed excitedly.

Javier scoffed, "honorable? Quite the opposite actually."

"What do you mean?" Choi Han asked, confused.

"He's annoying, ugly, and does what he wants all the time.. although.." Javier gritted his teeth, not wanting to admit it, "he can be caring and kind to people sometimes..." Javier bit his lip, "forget it!"

Choi Han chuckled, then smiled, "it seems like our masters are quite similar." He smiled.

"Similar?"

"They both are caring and kind-hearted people." Choi Han praised.

"..." Javier bombastically side-eyed him.

"What's wrong?..." Choi Han sweated, not understanding.

"Nothing." Javier turned around. "Why don't we have a mock duel?"

"Let me ask Cale-nim first."

"Ask him? Do you not have free will?" Javier asked.

Choi Han looked confused, "huh? I do? Why?"

"Then why ask him?"

"Because I want to." Choi Han smiled. "It'll only take a moment, I'll be back!" He rushed over to Cale's side.

"Must be nice..." Javier spoke, to no one, as his head lowered, furrowing his brows sadly.

Choi Han came back shortly, still holding firmly onto his smile. "Let's start."

"Alright."

Clack!

Their swords intercepted with each other, sounding the room with their swords. The sound made the bystanders gather around them to watch their duel.

"Hey, Cale, that guy's pretty good." Lloyd complimented calmly, unlike how his mind was going at the moment, 'how the fuck is he on par with the protagonist?! That's insane! I thought you were better than this Javier!'

Cale just nodded.

"Cale, what's happening? Why're they fighting?" Rosalyn asked.

"They're having a duel." Cale answered in short.

"Ooh. I wonder who'll win." Rosalyn grew intrigued in their duel. "Choi Han's very strong but his opponent also seems strong."

"Same." Alicia joined in. "Javier is a talented man, and I can see Choi Han's also very talented. They're both young and energetic, but that doesn't mean they're physically weak. It's a matter of time before one of them breaks."

"Ohh, so you're saying this is a battle of mentality?" Rosalyn figured.

"Or it could be a battle of swordsmanship skills. Who knows?" Alicia smiled.

Clank!

"Do you think this will ever end..." Rosalyn sweated nervously.

They had been going for an hour at this point now.

"I didn't expect this to go this path." Alicia was on the same page as Rosalyn. "They both either have a strong mentality, or they're determined with a goal."

Slurrp!!

Cale and Lloyd, the new-found best friends, somehow found outdoor beach lounge chairs. They fitted themselves snuggly onto them, enough both their snacks and the entertainment.

"Would you like some lemonade, young master?" Ron asked, holding a huge jar of freshly made lemonade while bearing his signature smile.

"Ok..." Cale reluctantly accepted.

"Me too! I want some!" Lloyd said out loud, making it clear for the old man's ears.

"Hoho, yes, yes." Ron elegantly poured the lemonade into two separate cups.

Cale gulped down his share, not savoring the taste at all.

"I think it's ending soon!" Lock exclaimed excitedly.

"They're both tired out." Rosalyn watched intently.

"Let's see who wins." Alicia crossed her arms, also anticipating a lot.

Alberu sweated, ashamed of how the situation became.

Over time, the friendly duel became a bet to the watchers. They betted on who would win, or at this point, who would last the longest. Roan vs. Magentano.

"How much did you bet?" Lloyd asked.

"None."

"Do you not trust your knight?"

"No. I do. I know he won't disappoint me. I just don't see any point in betting." Cale responded.

Lloyd bit his lip harshly, his eyes almost looking at each other, 'damn it! Rich people really don't understand!'

Hearing Cale's comment, Choi Han tightened his grip on the sword, now determined to win.

Javier's eyes opened wide, realizing he was being pushed back, he strengthened his guard. "It was a good time while it lasted, friend."

It was finally time to get serious, with all their might.

"Yes.. it has been."

"HAAA!!"

Clank!

One fell, and the other stood.

The crowd died down for a moment to process their victory.

A sword has fallen, their spirit once shined so bright.

Javier stood on his knees. There was no sword in his hands, rather, they were empty.

The crowd cheered enthusiastically again.

"Let's go! Choi Han!!" Rosalyn rushed over to him to hug him proudly.

"Congratulations." Lock congratulated him.

Choi Han smiled, "thank you."

"WHAAT?!" Lloyd was at a loss for words, yet he still had words to speak! "Javier lost! Javier lost!" His words were rather provocative. "HAAA!! You lost, Javier!!"

Javier bit his lips. He knew that he was going use this against him, as a mockery or as a threat.
