Time seemed to have stopped for Wanda as she remained still, breathing shakily and staring back at who she now knew was a god from another planet and who fifteen years ago, invaded the city that now was her home and almost killed her fathers in the process.

She was well aware of how dangerous he could be, and she wished to say that that was the first time one of her fathers' enemies had found its way to her but she didn't understand what he would want from her, especially after all those years.

"I've waited a long, long time for this day to come," he spoke, slightly trying to approach her but Wanda inevitably backed off, "don't worry," he said again, "I'm not here to hurt you."

"Then what do you want?" she questioned, battling to sound tough.

"You."

Wanda's face changed once more, as his answer took away any expression on her face and any thought on her mind.

But just as the brunette girl battled to not show any sign of fear to the blue eyed god in front of her, just as her aunt had taught her to, only a couple of floors away, in the opposite direction, another black haired woman walked passed by, followed by an entire group of people on their way to their own meeting.

Luckily for both of them, the glass-walls hallways in between floors, made possible for Maria Hill to catch at the back of her eye, that scene which inevitably made her stop, as she for an instance thought her mind was messing with her.

Nevertheless, it only took for her to turn, to realize that it wasn't any illusion or imagination: the god of mischief was standing only a few feet away from her boss's daughter.

"Why?" Wanda was able to ask, applying the second best tactic Nat had taught her: stalling.

"It has been enough time. You must be ready by now."

"Ready for what?" she continued, backing off again, this time making it hardly perceptible for him.

"I know it sounds insane, but believe me, my brother is—"

"Stark. Stark, do you copy?"

Ninety five miles away, the Avengers stood still after Thor, so much that he decided to continue his explanation when, through their comms, Maria Hill's voice bursted, making Thor stop at the sudden worry on the woman's voice.

"Stark, we have eyes on Loki. He's talking to Wanda. I repeat, Loki is here."

Tony quickly turned to Stephen, who didn't hesitate for a second, holding his hands in the air and beginning motioning the right one in circles, making orange glints soon grow into a portal right in front of them.

"I don't have much time," Loki said in a more agitated tone, "he's done waiting, he says you should be able to control your gifts by now."

Wanda couldn't help but frown again at the words that were coming out of Loki's mouth, but just as she opened hers ready to ask something else, the sound of sparks behind her caused her to slightly turn being able to capture at the back of her eye, the image of Loki vanishing in thin air.

"Oh my god."

Tony couldn't help but gasp just as he walked through the portal that Stephen had just opened, rushing to her to embrace her as she remained still, completely frozen as Stephen joined them as well, gently stroking her hair as a whole tactics team bursted into the place leaded by Maria Hill, pointing guns at what now was nothing.

"Are you ok?"

Stephen questioned, pulling away from the hug but Wanda wasn't able to say a word, she barely was capable of locking eyes with them as the words of the asgardian god repeating on a loop was the only thing that was going on in her mind.
