Avyansh’s Pov
As I extended my gratitude to Doctor And, a sense of relief washed over me. With Vaani and Arii by my side, we embarked on the journey towards the bungalow.
Arii and Vaani nestled in the
backseat, while I gripped the steering wheel tightly, my eyes meet the rearview mirror, and I catch a glimpse of Arii's peaceful face, her eyes closed, her breathing slow.Vaani’s chattering away on her phone beside her, completely absorbed in
her own world. I focus on the road ahead, my hands steady on the wheel. The back seat's a blur of movement and sound, a contrast to the calm that's settled over me. I kept driving, my gaze
flicking between the road and the mirror. There was a lot of traffic today but still I was making sure that Arii does not face any problem.
As we reached the bungalow, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. The drive was long, but uneventful.
I glance over at Adrika, still sleeping peacefully on the back seat.Vaani has already gone to submit her thesis.
She didn't want to go but I told her to go as I knew how much she had worked for that and I didn't want her to waste her hard work.
As soon as I opened the car, Arii
immediately opened her eyes due to the light coming on and started adjusting the light by opening her beautiful eyes little by little. As soon as she saw that we had come to the bungalow, she asked in a sick voice “Why did you bring me here??”
“Because it was needed” I said while opening the door completely.“I didn't need even a penny of this, you just leave me at my home please.” She said in a tremulous voice.
“Let's go inside.” I declared. “I said I will not go, you don't get it all at once.” she said in a hoarse voice .
“Okay, let me drop you to your parents' house as I can't leave you alone, because how will you take care of yourself alone in such a situation?” I said, closed the door and sat in the driving seat.
“It would be better if you throw me off a cliff with this car than drop me off at my parents' house.” She said as a lump formed in her voice with a black face and agreed to come inside the bungalow.
So I helped her out of the car and into the house, her weight leaning slightly on me. My movements are quiet. I've taken care of her before, and I'll do it again. It's just what needs to be done.
As I entered the room, Rudra descended the stairs with enthusiasm but it quickly turned into a barrage of questions aimed at me.
“Well, well, well… Look who finally decided to show up!” Rudra exclaimed with a smirk, extending his hand for a high five.
However, as I glanced at his outstretched hand, he hastily withdrew it, muttering
“Mosquitoes…there are a lot of mosquitoes right now Bhabhii” while shooting a glance at Arii, whose face looked completely sick but she tried to fake a smile on her face.Caught off guard, I exchanged a glance with Arii to my surprise, she was also looking at me and her eyes seemed to say, please don't tell anything to anyone. I just nodded at her and said to Rudra.
“Move aside, Rudra” I commanded, guiding Arii to the couch. But Rudra, persistent as ever, refused to relent.
“Come on, spill the beans, bhai! Where have you been hiding, and what’s up with Bhabhi?” he persisted.
“It’s none of your concern, Rudra. Just mind your own business,” I retorted sharply, focusing on Arii’s well-being.
Unfazed, Rudra continued, until my stern gaze finally silenced him. With a dramatic expression, he retreated to his room, muttering about my stare.
