Chapter 4: The Unexpected Bond (Part 1)
As they walked down the hallway together, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the unexpected turn of events. Who would have thought that he, Y/N, and Minsoo - former bully and former victim - would become friends?
The three of them settled into a comfortable routine, sitting together at lunch and partnering up for projects. Minsoo proved to be a loyal and supportive friend, making amends for his past behavior. Y/N continued to be Jimin's rock, offering sage advice and encouragement whenever needed.
One day, as they were working on a group project, Minsoo turned to Jimin and asked, "Hey, Jimin, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" Jimin replied, looking up from his notes.
"Why do you think I bullied you in the first place?" Minsoo asked, his eyes sincere.
Jimin hesitated, unsure how to respond. But Y/N jumped in, "Maybe because you were struggling with your own issues and didn't know how to deal with them?"
Minsoo nodded, "Yeah, that's exactly it. My parents were going through a divorce, and I was feeling lost and angry. I took it out on you because you seemed like an easy target."
Jimin listened intently, surprised by Minsoo's vulnerability. "I'm glad you're getting help now, Minsoo," he said, meaning it.
Minsoo smiled, "Thanks, Jimin. And thanks, Y/N, for being a great friend to both of us."
As they continued working on their project, Jimin realized that their friendship was built on a foundation of trust, empathy, and mutual respect. They had come a long way from their rocky start, and he was grateful for the unexpected bond they shared.
