Am I Not Enough?

We're already here in the comelec to file a statement of candidacy ni dad. It was actually faster than I thought it would be. After this, we're all gonna go to ilocos for kuya sandro naman. Well, he's running for the position of representative in the first district of IN. We're here palang sa comelec kasi marami pang kinakausap sila mom and dad. Sen. Ping Lacson and other senators and future senators if mapapalad.

We also took some pictures. Well, of course. And then deretso narin kami ng ilocos ngayon for kuya sands.

"hey sands, are you really sure about this? I mean if you don't want it then don't do it. We're not pressuring you naman, anak." Dad started a conversation.

"hmm yeah dad. I think I have all the courage naman and the confidence. But I heard fariñas yung opponent ko" Kuya Sandro said sounding confident and worried at the same time.

"Yup, it's Ria. But don't lose hope, son. We're always here to support you. Just stay humble." Dad said reassuring kuya sandro.

"thanks, dad. your words give me confidence and encouragement." sambit naman ni kuya sandro.

A few hours passed and we were already in Laoag! I'm so excited for my kuya. Pero worried at the same time kasi mabigat din talaga yung makakalaban niya. 'Fariñas' matagal nadin naming katunggali sila dito sa Ilocos. Malaki laki rin ang family nila.

Ria Christina Fariñas, ang outgoing na representative ng 1st district. Dami niya ring projects na nagawa for the ilocanos and ilocanas. So worried talaga kami for kuya sandro. But nevertheless we want to support him kung ano man ang gusto niya.

Dumeretso lang kami sa Suba kasi magpapalit kami ng clothes and mag freshen up. Duh. Para di naman magmukhang haggard.

"guys, hurry up na!" sigaw ni mom. So we are all rushing now kasi may target kaming time.

"mom, have you seen my eyeglasses? I cannot find it! I'm sure nilagay kolang yun here." I ask mom while finding my glasses. I can't really see without them.

"I didn't saw it. Where did you put it ba? Hurry now, Torie. We don't have whole day." Mom said calmly and she started to find it too.

"Nako, Torie. I saw it a while ago on the coffee table on the terrace near the border." Kuya Simon added.

I rushed to get it. I almost slipped. But atleast I got it na.

"Thanks, bro" I said to kuya Simon.

"welcome. tsaka be careful next time. I saw you almost slipped. HAHA" sambit sakin ni kuya Simon with a teasing smile.

"k" tipid kong sagot.

I regretted that I said that. He pissed me off even more. I just rolled my eyes at him. Which is nagpa tigil sakanya.

"hey! don't you dare roll your eyes at me!" inis niyang sabi sakin.

"well, don't you dare piss me off." I backfired.

"You two, stop. We're going na. Your dad is ready. Let's go." Singit naman ni mom na nagpatigil samin.

"don't you dare roll your--" kuya si was about to continue it when mom cut him off.

"stop it, now." mom said not turning her head at us.
