Khushi spent her entire time thinking about how Arnav would react hearing about her pregnancy. Will he be happy? Will he be sad? Will he be mad at her? There was lots of things going on in her mind.
"Stop it Khushi! Stop it, you're pregnant you're not supposed to take so much stress" she said while holding her head.
But the thought of her husband being angry at her pregnancy wasn't leaving head. Somewhere deep inside her heart she knew that he wouldn't be mad, but then why she was being so stressed. Anything she tried to relieve the stress wasn't working for her so finally she decided to do something that worked like a charm. And that was watching Salman Khan's movie
"Salman ji! Your movies always help me get through difficult times thankyou so much" she said as she smiled looking at his poster in their room
Time Skip
When Khushi came down to the dining hall it was already 8:00 pm, she saw that all family members were on the dinner table and Arnav was there too, seeing him there was quite surprising for her as he usually went to his room first when he came from office.
"Arnav ji, you..?"
"Sorry Khushi! I directly sat at the dining table actually it had been a long day and I feel-"
"It's okay! I understand" she said with a smile
Her heartbeat was increasing more faster and faster and just when she couldn't be more nervous Anjali decided to pull her leg a little.
"Chote! There's something I want to tell you" she said while looking at Khushi first and then Arnav
"Yes di?"
"Do you know that someone has come between you and Khushi ji" she said with a mischievous smile
Arnav shot up a look at Khushi while her eyes grew wider towards Anjali.
"Di! What are you doing?" she mouthed towards Anjali
She looked back at Arnav and gave an awkward smile, but he didn't seem bothered much as he kept continuing with his food.
"I am already so nervous about telling about my pregnancy and Di is in the mood to joke, Devi maiya please stand by me" Khushi thought to herself
After finishing their dinner all Raizadas dispersed into their room they usually had a family time after dinner, where they would gather together in living room for a while and talked about their day but today had been a long day for Aakash and Arnav so they skipped the gathering.
"Arnav ji wait!" Khushi called as soon they entered the room
"Yes Khushi" he waited for her to reply
Except Khushi had no idea how to put her feelings in words it's just a simple "I'm pregnant" right but for some reason she wasn't finding a way to say it.
"Arnav ji I-" she tried to speak but kept stopping in the midway
Arnav looked confused he knew his wife wanted to tell him something but she wasn't able to. He knew at this moment what he exactly needed to do.
He moved forward and kept his hand on her shoulder "Khushi! Do you want to tell me something? If yes then you can say it without any hesitation" he said while looking at her in the eyes
Khushi smiled at him, now her heart felt a little lighter so she gathered some courage to give pregnancy news to Arnav "Arnav ji! Please don't be mad at me but I'm pregnant" she immediately said while trying to avoid eye contact with him.
She waited for two minutes to see if Arnav will say anything but when there was no response from his side she further spoke.
"I know that you said we will be having kids until 5-6 years but whatever happened cannot be undone now-"
Khushi was speaking when all of a sudden Arnav went out of the room without saying anything, leaving her in a complete shock. He didn't respond in any way which broke her heart, she had expected him to burst out, shout at her or just say anything but silence was something that hadn't even crossed her mind.
Because from long back she had known and felt that Arnav's silence kills her more.
"How could he just leave like that after the news that I gave him" Khushi wondered, she was shocked and disappointed both.
Just when Khushi was lost in her thoughts Arnav came back into the room and asked her to come with him, she didn't say anything cause the hurt in her heart had occupied her too much. She just quietly kept walking with him
"Open the door Khushi" Arnav said as they both stood in front of a closed room.
Khushi quietly walked in front and opened the door and as she she saw what was in front of her eyes she was totally surprised
The room had a white wall with a black and white rug in it, there was a small crib in the middle with some plushies and pillows and also some toys. Few of the frames which consisted of arts were also hanged in the wall. And just by the side was a small wardrobe with some toys in it.
The Virtual Representation Of Room
Khushi was completely overwhelmed seeing such scenario in front of her eyes. She immediately understood that Arnav was indeed happy about her pregnancy and this is what her husband always did, he let his actions speak more than his words.
"Arnav ji!" Khushi happily hugged him while there were some tears in her eyes
"You know I thought we should keep the color neutral for now cause we don't know baby's gender, once we know the gender of the baby we can put on more things accordingly" Arnav said while hugging Khushi back
"You have no idea how relieved I feel, I thought you would be mad at me" Khushi said
"Why would I even be mad?" Arnav asked pulling back while looking into her eyes
"Because you said we should have kids only after 5-6 years, so I thought if I told you I am pregnant after 2 years of marriage you'll be mad" she said while forming a straight line in her lips
"Well, I might have said that but forget about it. This is the best news I've heard in the longest time" he replied
"Really! And what about your deal with Barkat Royale you we're trying to get, I thought that was the best thing you experienced in the longest time" Khushi said while teasing him
"That is nothing compared to this" He said while giving the reassurance and bringing a smile in her face.
"But how did you manage to do all this in such a short time?" She asked little confused
"Well there's a plot twist" he replied
"What plot twist?"
