Snake and the others regrouped, having come back to the rendezvous point to discuss the news. Everyone made sure that everyone was back, but they immediately realized someone was missing, you yourself. Realizing you were still somewhere deep in the woods, the darker portions of the woods concerning them now. Especially since the density of the darkness weakens magical or superhuman abilities.
Wii Fit Trainer: We should go get Master Hand, there are no beasts, but who knows what could happen to them.
Shulk: Right, he should be able to pinpoint their location, man, this is why I wish Rock and the others did not leave so soon. Could really use their help right now.
Snake: Enough of that let's go find Master Hand and tell the other campers, just in case they come back.
~ Meanwhile ~
Not long after stumbling into the deep darkness you had found Zelda after slamming her into the ground. But now that you had calmed your nerves, the two of you were capable of seeing each other. Thanks to the flickering flame Zelda held in her hand. But the darkness was making it difficult for the fire to stay lit before it went out. Darkness once again swallows the two of you in it.
Zelda: Was it necessary to use your Brawler skills on me?!
Y/N: Sorry but you scared the nonexistent daylight out of me. So why did you walk into the deeper woods?
Zelda: I didn't mean to walk this far, I was so deep in my thoughts that the next thing I knew, I couldn't see anything and my magic had diminished.
Y/N: Sheesh, what could make you go so deep in your thoughts?
You hear Zelda let out a sight before explaining to you about everything during this period. Telling you about how bored she had gotten from participating in this one. It did not help that "Link" was not here with her. She assumed Young Link was him, but Zelda realized he was still different from the "Link" she knows. Even after getting to know Hero of the Wilds Link, she just could not relate with him.
You were nodding while listening to all of this, remembering this Zelda is entirely different from the last one. Along with the Ganondorf and Links. Thinking about how weird and complicated Hyrule's timelines can be, so you did not blame Zelda. But reassured her that you would no longer be bored since the tournament was over. Plus, you had explained to Zelda about what the Hands had planned for the next tournament.
Y/N: Master Hand is thinking of recruiting Zelda from the Hero of Wild's time. Just to give you some time off from fighting. Especially since you have a kingdom to care for within your timeline.
Zelda: But what about the other Zelda? Wasn't she busy with something else within her time?
Y/N: Link told me that she had been freed from that whole Calamity Ganon thing and it would be good to travel around the place. But right now I think we need to get out of here.
Zelda: How exactly are you going to get us out of here?
Y/N: Simple, we follow the yellow fireball in the sky since it looks like it's beginning to set. So we should probably go in the opposite direction . . . I think.
Throughout the darkness, Zelda struggled and followed you through the endless void. You had a feeling that things would not go the way you wanted. But as you and Zelda went left and right for what felt like an eternity. But there was something you noticed, everything was becoming brighter, at least easier to see. You were about to start jumping with joy when Zelda pointed something out to you, the sun was gone.
Having been set a long time ago and now replaced by this world's moon. Not as bright as the sun, but still bright enough to give the two of you some comfort. You looked toward the moon with annoyance before letting out a deep sigh. Thinking about this now, you were starting to think of other methods of getting out of here. Climbing a tree perhaps, but none of them appeared taller than the others.
Y/N: Zelda do you think you can try teleporting us out of here now. With us able to see, maybe Magic can work now.
Zelda: Hmm . . . . Worth a shot, take my hand.
Taking Zelda's hand you watched her concentrate her power and attempt to teleport. The familiar green light was beginning to appear, but it was steadily flickering away. You felt your body beginning to spin around like a top. And within the blink of an eye, the two of you blinked of existence and reappeared. Over a cliff, 50 yards from where you two had been before.
You and Zelda looked down at the invisible platform under your feet. Before gravity took over the both of you screamed with all your lungs. Both of you allowed gravity to take over and soon the two of you slammed hard into a large pond. A large splash came along with all of this. Before long the two of you resurfaced breathing heavily from the ordeal.
Y/N: . . . . Well . . . . . At least you tried.
Zelda could only look at you with a look of annoyance before splashing away from you to get to land. What the two of you are supposed to do now, it seems you were both in the middle of the woods now. Hopefully the others were working on a way to find them and have gotten to Master Hand.
~ Meanwhile ~
Master Hand: I am afraid I will not be able to find them until tomorrow.
Shulk: What but why?
Master Hand: Making the portals to return most of the fighters home has drained me of my energy. I need time to recharge and my brother is not here to aid as of right now. Peach and Daisy were the ones who wished to go home the most for some reason. Don't know what had gotten in them, but alas, they should be okay for one day.
Snake: Well this is just great more people who were in a hurry to get back home, though, I can't blame them. Peach was feeling a little woozy and I heard from Samus that Daisy had been puking a lot.
Lucina: I hope they didn't catch anything while here.
Thinking about all this, Lucina was also remembering Rosalina having felt strange antics with her gut as well. Along with Kamui too who decided to go home early to rest. Lucina was now worried she may end up catching something in the end too. But would think about this later and focus on finding their missing companions.
~ Meanwhile ~
Zelda had sat down from the pond whilst you had gone off to look for wood close to the pond. Finding enough for the princess to make a fire for the two of you. Needing to get warm as your clothes had become a secondary skin due to the water. Heck, your clothes were starting to feel uncomfortable to wear now. You looked at the shivering Zelda much to your concern, you had an idea, but was afraid to recommend it.
Y/N: Hey Zelda, I think we might need to take off our clothes to let them dry off. We'll catch hyperthermia like this.
Zelda: What?!
Y/N: Come on if we don't we're gonna suffer worse than this, and from the feel of it MH won't be able to find us for quite some time.
Zelda sighed hearing this but told you to look away feeling embarrassed that she had to do with someone around. You turned away and did what she instructed, but as you heard her removing her attire. You could hear her struggling before Zelda let out a groan of annoyance. Then calling out to you to do something which made you blush.
Zelda: Hey . . . . Can you . . . . Help me take this thing off.
