Chapter 7

Since then, both Twilight and Sunset shimmer were like strangers. Sunset shimmer kept her distance like she promised but still had feelings for her. It was hard for her but she knew it was the right thing in her opinion to distance herself.

Her friends could see how hurt Twilight was. They wanted to help her but how? Flash was going around smiling at what he had done and Trixie was all over Sunset Shimmer even more.

Twilight: "If only I could explain everything to her"

Pinkie Pie: "Maybe tie her up and make her listen to you"

Applejack: "that's a bit extreme don't you think?"

Twilight: "I don't want her to hate me even more"

Pinkie Pie: "on second thought that was a dumb idea"

Twilight: "Why did flash have to ruin everything? Yes she was annoying at first with her flirting attempts but now I miss her deeply"

Pinkie Pie: "Why try talking to her while she is at work?"

Twilight: "I guess that wouldn't hurt"

Meanwhile Sunset was getting annoyed with Trixie who is trying best to get Sunsets attention.

Trixie: "You should be over her by now sunny"

Sunset Shimmer: "Well I'm not alright trix? We may not be a couple anymore but I still love her even after everything that's happened. Now please leave me alone I'm gonna be late for my shift"

Sunset then got in the bus she was waiting for to head to the music shop that she worked at leaving a frustrated Trixie behind. An hour after arriving, Vinyl noticed Sunset shimmer a little distracted by something.

Vinyl: "Everything alright Sunset?"

Sunset Shimmer: "Huh? Oh yeah everything is fine, just a long day today"

Vinyl: "Are you sure?"

Sunset Shimmer: "Yes I'm sure"

Vinyl didn't ask anything else and continued to work fixing some strings on a guitar. To pass the time, Sunset listenend to some music from her earphones. Music helped her relax.

Sometime during work, Twilight showed up but sunset who didn't notice at first. Twilight tapped her shoulder which got her attention.

Sunset Shimmer: "Oh....Twilight"

Twilight: "We need to talk"

Sunset Shimmer: "Theres nothing to talk about Twilight"

Vinyl: "You can take a break as long as you need. I'll cover you for now"

Sunset Shimmer thanked vinyl and the two took a walk outside to talk about everything.

Twilight: "You hate me....don't you?"

Sunset Shimmer: "I could never hate you Twilight"

Twilight: "I'm sorry if you felt like I played you, that's not what happened"

Sunset Shimmer: "Twilight I get it alright? I just want space for now. For now it's best that we are strangers"

Twilight tried her best to hold back tears.

Sunset Shimmer: "I really liked you Twilight, but I didn't know you still had feelings for Flash"

Twilight: "Sunset he kissed me and his grip is strong and I couldn't get him off"

Sunset stayed silent letting Twilight continue. She felt like an idiot for not letting Twilight explain what happened.

Sunset Shimmer: "Now I feel like an idiot"

Twilight: "your not an idiot Sunset. I'm just glad I could talk to you again"

Sunset Shimmer: "same"

They stopped walking and they sat at a bench. Neither of them knew what to say next.

Sunset Shimmer: "for now, if that's okay with you I don't want to get back. I want to be friends and take things slow"

Twilight: "Yeah I understand completely"

They hugged it out and they were back to being friends which felt like the right thing to do. Twilight was glad that she could talk to Sunset again.
