After the shower, I was cleaned, warm, clothed and dried. My cheeks and eyes were both puffy from how emotional I had been this evening, but Seungmin didn't say anything as I watched him make us both warm cups of hot chocolate.I was sat on the coach, more relaxed now, dressed in an oversized white hoodie and some baggy black shorts he had leant me. We don't talk about the embarrassing fact of the leant pair of underwear he gave me. It was just to embarrassing.
He was also dressed in something comfy, a white shirt and grey joggers as he brought two full mugs over to set down on the coffee table. Giving him a small 'thank you', I picked up the mug and settled back into the comfort of the plush cushion.
Glancing down into the pool of melted chocolate, I couldn't help but count the marshmallows in the silence. Waiting for something. For him to talk? Maybe. But apparently he had heard my thoughts.
"I've been looking for you. For...a while. But I should explain everything first." I looked up to where he sat opposite me in a single sofa chair. He was already looking at me, a soft gaze as he cupped the mug between both palms.
"Please do." I nodded, the perplexing feeling never left, only grew whilst I was washing away my guilt and disappointment.
He took a deep breath, before he sat forward in his chair. I took the chance to take a long sip of the warm beverage, humming slightly from just how much I needed it. So warm and sweet but not too sweet. It was perfect.
"Have you ever read about Greek mythology? The tales of the Greek gods that live above?" Ok? This was a weird question. I took a moment, looking at him questioning but he raised an eyebrow which urged me to speak.
"Um yeah. When I was younger though." He nodded in understanding, seeming partially brighter for some reason.
"Do you know some of the gods? Can you name some for me?" Weird request but to be honest, nothing had been normal tonight.
"Off the top of my head I know...Um Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Apollo, Hera—uh...is there more? Ah—! Athena and Persephone right?" He looked pleased at my answer so I took that as a win on its own.
"Yes you're right. Zeus is the God of all gods. Hades is the god of the underworld and Poseidon is the god of the sea. And then Apollo is the god of the sun and light. Athena is the goddess of wisdom and another is Ares, the god of war." I'm still confused to why this was relevant but I let him go on, nodding to the information he just told me. "Have you heard of Eris?"
