Mercury Angst

It was another day in the solar system, like usual, Mercury was in his orbit being lonely. He sat down crisscrossed-applesauce and stared off into space (literally).

Without knowing, Venus carefully snuck up behind Mercury with an asteroid in his hand. He waited until the right time to throw it. Venus slowly retracted his arm back and launched the asteroid straight at Mercury. It slammed into the back of his head and broke into small chunks.

"OW! What the-" Mercury gritted his teeth and slightly yelled, immediately putting his hand back to rub where the asteroid hit him. He whipped around to see Venus hysterically laughing at Mercury's reaction. "Haha! Stop being overdramatic pipsqueak!" Venus exclaimed.

Mercury felt his lip tremble and his eyes welling up with tears. Venus smirked at him, "What're gonna do, cry?" Venus snickered. Mercury watched as turned around and marched back to Earth and Mars. Earth was slightly laughing at Mercury while Mars gave him a sympathetic look. The trio soon walked back to Earth's orbit, leaving Mercury all alone once again.

Mercury slowly turned around and tried to hold back his tears, but they came flowing out. He wiped them away while slightly sniffling. Mercury cried for who knows how long!

Feeling lonely, he talked to himself, "Its gonna be fine.. yeah, yeah! It'll be alright" Mercury murmured. "No it won't.. he'll probably come back with a bigger asteroid..." He quietly said in horror. The thought of his head being crushed from an asteroid did NOT help at all.

Mercury dug his hands into his hair from the fear of being destroyed by an asteroid. Would anybody even CARE if he was? "Its gonna be fine! Yeah! It'll all be alright!" Mercury kept repeating while shaking. Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow! Hopefully..
