Chapter 1 - First Day of School

“Oh my gosh! I'm gonna be late for the first day of school!” Penny panicked and  was running towards the opening of St. Cassian's school gate. Gladly, the guard didn't manage to close and was letting her in. 

The bell rang and all of the students were in their respectful classroom and Penny, the newest girl in town, was hoping to find her locker and her first subject this school year. But her first mission was to find Father Marcus and she doesn't even know where he was or where he went because the school was so large, it even associated with the Catholic Church next to the school.

“Woah…this school was so huge?” Penny was too stunned and amazed by the designs and other old antique vases and old portraits of Jesus Christ and all the other Saints. While walking down the hallway finding Father Marcus, she accidently got tripped and fell right through the floor. All of her things went scattered everywhere.

Lucky for her, nobody even saw her. “Omg! I'm glad nobody saw it” Penny said while picking her stuff and felt embarrassed afterwards. An oddly looking young male, wearing his formal school uniform with his side bang hairstyle? a mole on his right cheek under his eye and much taller than Penny, he seems to have noticed the new student.

 “Hey are you alright?” Oh, he sounds gay.

“Y- yeah I'm alright! Don't worry about me just minding my own business picking up my things everywhere!” Penny was embarrassed seeing that there were no students around with just an empty hallway.

“Oh? I think you need help” the young male smiled and helped Penny with her stuff that got scattered everywhere which were mostly notebooks and papers.

“ T-thank you! It was very embarrassing..I am so sorry about it! I appreciate your help…uhhh-” 

“Noel….Noel Gruber, you're very welcome! It seems that you're the new student around here right?” Noel said, raising his right eyebrow.

“Uhh..Yes! I am! and uhh.. the name's Penny Lamb!” Penny said.

“Nice to meet you Penny..So umm..are you lost or do you need help for something?” Noel offered.

“Oh yes! Thank you for asking! I was uhh..looking for Father Marcus about my scheduled classes and I was pretty much.. lost” Penny was embarrassed. “Sorry if I wasted your time it seems that you're late for class?”

“Oh don't be! I was walking around the hallway to find my locker and I noticed that you needed a helping hand” Noel said. “Also I can show you Father Marcus' Sacristy or maybe his Office” 

“Oh! Thank you Thank you Noel I would b-be appreciated if you would..” Penny said happily.

So Noel was leading Penny to Father Marcus' office or not, his Sacristy. While walking before getting into the office, they both found Father Marcus beside the classroom talking to one of the Sisters/Nuns. Father Marcus noticed the students looking at him and he waved at them and smiled. 

Noel and Penny waved him back. They got close to him and greeted him good morning and asked for Penny's class scheduled and he raised both of his eyebrows and laughed. He said:

“Oh yes I must have forgot about you Penny right? The new student”

“Yes of course yes, my name is Penny” Penny said shyly.

“Very well, Brother Noel, please guide Penny for her scheduled classes, it was in my office right underneath the office table. Thank you.” Father Marcus said calmly.

Noel said Thank you to the Priest and led Penny to Father Marcus' office. He gave Penny the scheduled papers and it looks like;

“Oh! It seems like we're in the same subject, well Penny gotta say we are now classmates together ain't that right?” Noel grinned at her.

“Wow, first class, English?” Penny seems to have problems with this one subject. 

“You have a problem with that?” Noel said.

“Yeah..least favorite one” Penny said sadly.

“Aw..Don't worry! I'll help you with that if you need it.” Noel offered.

“Yeah..Thanks Noel” Penny said happily.

So the two of them walked through their first classroom and the Teacher (or known to be Sister)  greeted the new student and let her introduce the whole class afterwards she let Penny sit beside the ginger red-head girl. Before walking to her seat Noel whispered to her ears, gave her the warning and said; “Don't even dare talk to her” Penny was confused by Noel's upset tone. The ginger girl was busy taking notes and highlighting her notebook and she doesn't seem to bother the new student, not like she is very excited to meet one. Penny wanted to say something to her seatmate while the Teacher was teaching. But she didn't bother her anyway.

Penny wanted to know why.
