Wei Jiu'er smiled even more brightly & said, "Since Qingyue is so modest, then I'll go 1st."

She sat down at the piano, took a moment to gather her emotions, & her fingers began to move.

Although playing the piano was just a hobby, she had been playing for a full eight years, so her technique was naturally not bad. However, she had gotten used to showing off, & playing the piano felt emotionless, almost mechanical & stiff.

When the piece ended, everyone applauded.

Wei Jiu'er looked at Shen Qingyue with a proud expression on her face & said, "It's ur turn."

Shen Qingyue stood up, smoothed out the wrinkles on her skirt, & sat down on the soft stool. She sat up straight, with a slender swan-like neck, & her fair & delicate fingers lifted & fell, producing beautiful melodies.

The melody had a calm & peaceful tone, & everyone present was completely immersed in the lingering music. Even those who did not understand music could not snap out of it for a long time. Even Qin Zhen was somewhat stunned.

He had known Shen Qingyue for so many years, but he never knew she could play the piano. It seemed like he did not really understand her.

When the piece ended, the banquet hall erupted in thunderous applause.

"Oh, Shen Qingyue is so good at playing the piano! Why haven't we seen it before?"

"Although I don't understand the piano, it still looks amazing."

"If she didn't put all her energy into chasing men in the past, her skills would have been even better!" These words were spoken by someone who understood music, & it was a pity for Shen Qingyue.

Listening to everyone's jokes & praises, Wei Jiu'er clenched her teeth & reluctantly complimented, "Qingyue, u played really well."

Shen Qingyue smiled brightly & said, "It's just average, not comparable to Miss Wei's eight years of practice."

Wei Jiu'er was infuriated, & she turned to look at Qin Zhen, seeking consolation. But she saw Qin Zhen staring at Shen Qingyue, just like everyone else!

Shen Qingyue returned to Chen Ying's side, & Chen Ying raised her thumb generously & said, "Awesome! I can see someone's face turning green, yet they're still trying to maintain composure. Their shamelessness can't compare."

Hearing this, Wei Jiu'er glared at Chen Ying secretly.

Chen Ying simply flipped her middle finger at her.

Wei Jiu'er became even angrier. If she did not have to maintain a cultured image, she would have torn into Chen Ying already!

A classmate reminded, "Chen Ying, can u tone it down a bit? Be careful not to get hit."

Chen Ying hooked her arm around Shen Qingyue's & said proudly, "Both of us have fiery temperaments, who would dare to provoke me?"

Shen Qingyue pushed her away & said, "Sis, are u praising me or mocking me?"

The classmate said, "But honestly, Qingyue, u had quite a temper in the past. I still remember in the summer vacation of our sophomore year when a troublemaker from outside the school kept bothering you. u brought people & gave him a good beating, & he never showed up again."

Another classmate chimed in, "With Qingyue's temper back then, if it wasn't for Grandpa Shen's restraint, u would have taken the school bully's position!"
