Tale One: The Invisible Test

Chapter 1: Uncovering

Sophia was a regular high school student whose life turned unexpectedly when she discovered something evil. It all started on a dismal Monday morning.

Sophia's harsh red-headed teacher, Miss Brigette, was known for being merciless and short-temper. She was infamous for her impossible examinations and cold demeanour. Sophia's classmates whispered that she had a hidden goal, but no one plucked up the courage to probe further.

Sophia once left her notebook in the classroom after school. She tiptoed back, hoping to avoid detection. As she pushed the door open, she froze. Miss Brigette was crouched over her desk, scribbling something with such enthusiasm in hast that Sophia felt shivers down her spine.

Curiosity got the best of her. Sophia moved closer, with her heart hammering. She glanced at the paper. It was a list of Sophia's classmates' names! Each name was followed by a grade, most of which were failing. Sophia's name was circled in red.

Chapter 2: Perusal

Sophia's thoughts raced. Why would Miss Brigette want to fail them? What was her motivation? On top of all these, why was her name circled in red? Sophia decided to dig deeper and deeper. She followed Miss Brigette after school at a safe distance. The teacher's footsteps took her to an old, abandoned structure behind the school.

Sophia crouched behind a shattered window and saw Miss Brigette enter. The room was poorly lit, with dusty shelves and antique books. In the centre was an antique wooden desk. Miss Brigette placed the test papers on it while muttering an enchantment. Then the place was filled with silence.

Suddenly, the sheets glowed. Sophia's classmates' names shimmered, and their grades shifted. Those who had previously failed had now passed, and vice versa. Sophia's name remained circled in red. Miss Brigette smiled and laughed loudly —a nasty, evil, triumphant look.

 Chapter 3: Head-to-head

Sophia couldn't believe what she'd seen. Miss Brigette was using evil magic to change their grades! But why? Sophia realised she needed to face her teacher. She burst into the room, full of courage.

"Miss Brigette !" Sophia's voice quivered. "What are you doing?"

Miss Brigette whirled, her eyes wide in surprise. " You brat, Sophia! "You should not be here."

"Why are you changing our grades?" Sophia demanded.

Miss Brigette sighed. "It isn't about grades, my darling. It is about power. These students have potential but lack ambition. "I'm motivating them to strive for greatness."

Sophia shakes her head. "This isn't correct. You're controlling their life!"

Miss Brigette's expression tightened. "Sometimes sacrifices are necessary for a greater purpose."

Chapter 4: Showdown

Sophia was aware that she needed to halt Miss Brigette. Removing the page, she took the incantation book from the desk. 

The grades reverted to their initial state as the magic subsided. 

With burning eyes, Miss Brigette surged towards Sophia. "You've made everything ruined!"

Sophia, though, was prepared. By repeating the spell backwards, she restrained Miss Brigette's abilities. The teacher gave up, giving up.

Sophia promised to keep her classmates safe as she left the room. Even though Miss Brigette was strong, Sophia possessed a more steadfast sense of fairness.

The schoolgirl went on to become an unlikely heroine by revealing the sinister secrets kept behind her school's walls. 

Chapter 5: The end?No! Final Showdown

Sophia knew she couldn't leave things half-finished. Miss Brigette was beaten, yet her poisonous influence persisted. Sophia's classmates remained under her spell, their brains clouded by false ambition.

Sophia explored ancient manuscripts for a means to break the enchantment permanently. She uncovered a secret rite that needed enormous sacrifice. Being unwavering in her determination, Sophia  gathered the essential ingredients: Holy water from the Church, a lock of her used dress, and a bottle of tears shed in desperation. 

Sophia returned to the abandoned chamber on a moonless night. The air crackled with magic. Miss Brigette lay there helpless, her eyes filled with venom. Sophia whispered the incantation, her voice shaking.

Then she chanted the powerful Bible verses against evil splashing the Holy water everywhere around the room. She poured more Holy water on Miss Brigette who vigorously tried her supreme to stop.

The room trembled. Shadows danced across the walls. Sophia's classmates emerged, their eyes empty. They surrounded her, chanting in unison. The rite required a life in exchange for freedom.

Sophia paused. She reflected on her family, her career goals, and the innocent lives at stake. But then she remembered her classmates' fearful expressions, their unfairly stolen and questioned futures. She moved into the centre of the circle.

The room erupted. Flames shielded the walls. Sophia's sacrifice broke the magic. Her classmates blinked, as perplexity gave way to realisation. Miss Brigette shrieked, and her power subsided away.

Sophia fell as her life force faded. But when she closed her eyes, she felt a soft touch—a whisper from a bright white scintillating angel from Heaven. "You've done well, child!."

Sophia awoke to find herself back in her bed. The school was unique—the students were gentler, and the teachers were fair. Miss Brigette departed, leaving just the memory of darkness. Sophia never spoke about that night. But sometimes, as the wind howled through the school halls, she felt a presence—an echo of appreciation.

As a result, this schoolgirl became a legend—the one who confronted darkness to bring light. Sophia understood that ultimate power rested not in magic, but in selflessness and spirituality for others.
