"It's a new day, a new morning but somehow Emma couldn't forget about him, what's his deal and what he is in general, Emma was walking alongside her friends, trying to maintain a casual demeanor despite the sudden in the topic, one of her friends declares"

"hey have you seen the new boy", she declares.

Emma: what does she know that I don't, yeah, I've seen him. he's new. christian or something

"yeah guess what"

Emma looks at her friend with a mixture of intrigue and skepticism, "spell it."

"He's the only son of Albrecht, a well-known billionaire, and comes from a decent family and apparently, he's a genius with like a 5.0 fucking AP"

Emma's jaw almost dropped at the information

Emma: wait, he's an Albrecht? and has that kind of score? No wonder he has that carefree attitude, he thinks he's untouchable, fuck that's impressive

"He's smarter than you girl," she said as she was downing Emma.

Emma: I can take him, even if he's that big of a deal, men like these always are easy to provoke. plus. I don't care how smart he is. I bet I could outdo him in anything.

"but I need to tell you first, he's a walking red flag, he even got expelled from Chilton".

Emma raises an eyebrow intrigued by this new piece of information, "Expelled from Chilton? That's some elite school. isn't it? What he did do to get kicked out?

reply to Emma's question, " Apparently he got in many school fights, he hates everyone kinda style"

Emma's eyes widened at the revelation, and her initial smirk stayed still, "wait, he got into fights and joined a gang? that's ...expected, to say at least."

exited," Girl that's my type, I call dips"

Emma looks at her friend, slightly taken aback by her enthusiasm, " You're type? you can't be serious. he sounds problematic and potentially dangerous."

"I know", with a big smirk.

Emma shakes her head in disbelief, "You are unbelievable. You always go for the ones with the most drama and problems. Why can't you find someone who's normal and stable", Emma who can see that her friend isn't interested at all, "unbelievable. Seriously, why do I even try?"

As Emma walks down to her class intimated by the earlier conversation about him, "Why does a guy like him come here, to a boring town, not even a city, who's he hiding from", Emma is finally at her seat, all she wants to think about is her class, her lessons, her life, yet but she can't resist the urge to look at him so she decides to take a little glance, As Emma looks towards Chris, their eyes meet briefly across the classroom. She quickly averts her gaze, a mixture of embarrassment and curiosity welling up with her. Emma tries to focus on the lesson, but she can't help stealing occasional glances his way.

Finally, the teacher notices the two behaviors and starts, " You know mr Chris, you haven't paid attention since you got here, not even once, why don't you come here and solve this pretty complicated equation" tries to embrace him

Chris simply smiles, gets to the boards, and finishes in like two minutes, like it wasn't worth his time.

The class watches in awe as Chris confidently solves the equation on the board, completing it with ease in mere seconds. Emma's eyes widen, a mixture of surprise and annoyance on her face. She couldn't believe he could just ace the equation without paying attention in class.

Finally, for Emma, the bell rings and so does the second period, Emma gathers her things and packs her backpack, her mind still racing from the earlier events. As she zips up her bag, she turns to see Chris casually walking out of the class, as if nothing just happened. Later,  Emma and her friends find their usual table in the cafeteria, gossiping and laughing amongst each other. Emma steals a glance toward the entrance, searching for a familiar figure. Her eyes widen as she spots Chris walking in, his nonchalant aura standing out in the crowd, she turns her head back to the conversation she left. "hello there", it's him, Emma is caught off guard as Ali greets her, her defenses momentarily lowered. She quickly composes herself, crossing her arms and trying to maintain her usual cool demeanor.
