'What? Why?'
You asked.
'You are leaving soon.'
Mingyu walked to a pole and leaned on it puffing the cigarette. It was dark but still you knew he was looking at you.
You went near him after a while.
'Don't tell me you are sad gyu.'
You asked in low tone.
'Did I ever tell you that?'
You got hurt at this but didn't say anything.
'Mingyu!... C-can I ask you one thing?'
'Yes.'
'I always knew I was important to you. I mean- we were always together from childhood.. but when we grow up I realised there's much more things for you to do. I suddenly realized I wasn't someone that important. You could go months without talking to me-'
'Well well by those times did you ever feel the need to text me? Call me? What if I felt the same?'
'Y-you had got girls by then. Why would I text you knowing it can irritate you?'
Looking at him you got scared as he was looking at you without blinking. You couldn't understand if he was angry or sad. He looked intimidating.
'The thing is I accepted the fact that I'm no one important to you. But I really hope that you can tell me that when I felt the warmth, it was real. When we were sixteen and I really thought I'm important to you, tell me that was the truth.'
You wiped your tears away while talking.
'I will hold onto that part of our friendship. Tell me even if you have changed, the younger you actually cared about me.'
You somehow couldn't stop crying and broke into tears. It hurt you so much.
'What made you feel that I don't care for you now? That you are not important?'
He asked calmly.
'Everything.. you never got a little time for me so we could talk like before.'
'You were always busy with studies.'
'I tried to study because I wanted to distract myself.'
