Low hums could be heard from a little white van driving across the road. It was nighttime and only the headlights were there to pave the way for the one who occupied the drivers seat. I feel like you know who it is! (That's right, Steven!) Steven had been listening to some of Sadie's new albums as well as some other songs from artists he loved listening to when he was younger. After he bid the gems and his family farewell, he started on the road, hitting up all the places Greg told him about— all the hottest tours, stores, and more! And Steven, not knowing where to start, obviously just listened to his dad.
But this time, he had no goal in mind, really. Although his dad had told him about the many places there were to explore, he also told and showed him that sometimes your heart should lead the way and your mind should follow. So after hitting up some states his country was most famously known for, he found himself in Oregon. What was there? Don't ask me! (But cmon you and I both know where this is going ehh?)
*Ring* *Ring*!! His phone buzzed with its iconic ringtone, forming a cacophony or music clashing between the phone's and the Dondai's. Steven glanced down quickly to see who it was, and it just so happened to be his dad!!
Excitedly, Steven answered. "Heyyy Schtuball!", Greg started. "Hey dad!", Steven replied. "Sorry to be calling you so late at night, son, but I really wanted to check in with you and see where you are in your non-stop tour!" "It's okay dad, I don't mind you calling. I'm always glad to see a call from you! Anyways, right now I'm in Oregon. Just exploring though. It doesn't seem like there's much here- OH MY STARS." Steven cut himself off as he started to radiate pink energy due to the shock of a 30 foot tall deer in front of him.
A leg of the deer hit his car. "Schtuball!?", Greg asked, concerned. "Uh dad, you're never going to believe this. I'm really sorry but I have to call you back tomorrow!!", Steven said with a panicked tone in his voice. "Steven wait!! What's going o-" Steven cut him off by hurriedly hanging up the phone. He couldn't keep driving now! But he figured it's a good thing he has powers, so he could pick up the Dondai and take it to a mechanic or something. There really wasnt anything nearby. Or at least he didn't think there was anything. Not until he saw a giant sign reading: THE MYSTERY (S)HACK
