I am Aria, the heterochromic eyed witch living on the edge of the medieval kingdom of Larion with only prized possession, a broken white wand, and a pet alligator named Momo As I sit in my swamp hut mixing a magical potion within my cauldron, I hear a knock at the door. I open it and see a young man with short brown hair and green eyes standing before me, his clothes tattered and dirty, a look of desperation in his eyes. He introduces himself as Elias and explains that he is on a quest to save his village from a terrible curse. The villagers are turning into mindless beasts, destroying everything in their path.
Elias has heard of my past powers as a witch and hopes that I can help him. Elias looks at me with hope in his eyes, his hands trembling slightly as he clutches a small pouch. "Please," he says, "I need your help. My village... they're turning into monsters. I don't know what to do."
I can see the desperation in his eyes and the fear in his trembling hands. I take a moment to consider his request. Elias looks at me expectantly, his eyes pleading for my help. The silence in the room grows heavy as I mull over his words. I glance at the bubbling cauldron in the corner of my hut, the potion inside releasing a strange, pungent aroma.
I turn my attention back to Elias and ask him to tell me more about the curse that has befallen his village. Elias takes a deep, shuddering breath before beginning his tale. He explains that the curse began several days ago when a strange, shadowy figure appeared in the village square. The figure spoke of an ancient evil that had been awakened and warned that the villagers would suffer unless they gave it what it desired.
The villagers, frightened and confused, did not know how to respond. But as the days passed, they began to change. Their bodies twisted and contorted, their minds becoming consumed by a primal rage. Elias describes the horror of seeing his friends and neighbors transform into monstrous creatures, attacking and destroying everything in their path. The village, once a peaceful and prosperous place, is now a warzone, with the remaining villagers huddled together in fear.
I ponder for a moment, tapping my chin with my index finger. A thought occurs to me, and I turn to face Elias. Iask Elias if he knew what the shadowy figure demanded from the villagers. Elias shakes his head, his eyes filled with worry. "No," he says, "It never specified what it wanted. It just said that the villagers would suffer unless they gave it what it desired."
After pondering for another moment. "I may be able to help you, but I'll need some time to prepare a counter-curse," I tell Elias. "In the meantime, I want you to go back to your village and gather some essential items for me. I'll need a sample of the water from the village well, some of the soil from the square where the shadowy figure appeared, and any unusual plants or herbs that have sprouted up since the curse began"I may be able to help you, but I'll need some time to prepare a counter-curse," I told him. Elias nods eagerly, relief flooding his features. "Thank you, thank you so much!" he exclaims, clutching the small pouch he carries even tighter. "I'll leave immediately and return as quickly as I can."
I watch as Elias turns and hurries away from my hut, disappearing into the dense fog that surrounds my swamp.
The sound of his footsteps fades into the distance, leaving me alone in my hut once more. The cauldron still bubbles in the corner, casting an eerie glow around the room. I turn my attention back to my potion, realizing that I was in the middle of adding a pinch of powdered dragon's tooth when Elias arrived.
I sprinkle the powder into the cauldron, watching as it dissolves with a sizzle. The potion changes color, from a murky green to a vibrant purple. I stir it with a long, wooden spoon, humming to myself as I work. My mind is focused on the task at hand, but I can't help but think about Elias and his plight. As I continued to stir the potion, I considered the information that Elias had given me. A shadowy figure appearing in the village square, demanding an unspecified offering in exchange for the villagers' safety. It's a classic tactic of ancient evils to sow fear and confusion among the people before making their true demands. But what could the figure want? How can I create a counter-curse to stop it?
The potion begins to emit a pleasant, floral scent as I stir it, and I know that it is almost ready. I reach for a small vial on a nearby shelf, carefully pouring the potion into it and corking it tightly. I set the vial down on the table, confident that it will be effective for it special cause. But there is still the matter of the shadowy figure and its demands. I just hope I can solve this problem before the next solar eclipse in four months.
