I have never seen anyone so hot in my life. All the attention was turned to him and the word mate, seemed to echo through the room.
"Mate? You don't want her.", my dad exclaimed.
I was too shocked to fight back with my dad.
"Why would I not want her?", my mate asked.
I finally came back from Cloud 9, when my mates eyes shifted from mine to my dad's.
"She cannot take the roll of Luna, Lykaois.", my dad explained.
His name sent shivers down my spine.
"And explain to me how she wouldn't be amazing at it.", my mate, Lykaois, states.
"Lykaois," I whispered.
He looked at me with lust in his eyes.
He went up to my father and courageously stated,"Don't you ever talk about my future Luna like that again."
"Well, there are plenty of eligible Alpha daughters out there," my dad said.
"Actually, she's the only one left," chimed in Alpha Bodolf, "Too many alphas have been producing male offspring."
My dad looked at me for a second and his point of view seemed to have changed.
"Excuse me for a moment," my dad suspiciously said.
He stepped outside the door and I heard footsteps going down the stairs. I stood there awkwardly with a family I didn't even know. What was I suppose to say? What's up?
I heard conversation downstairs, but no one else was down there but my father. He must have been have been making a phone call. But to who?
"Awkward," my brother said in a high pitched voice.
I shot him a deathly look to imply that he should shut up.
My mate smiled coyly at me. All at once I saw that beautiful glimmer in his eyes again, but was interrupted by my brother's shrill voice.
"So... Who's hungry? I'm sure Mom is done on the grill by now."
One by one we all hurried down the stairs as if we were trying to escape the awkwardness.
When we got downstairs I saw my dad set his phone down. That was a big deal because my dad isn't a very social guy.
We all sat down at the dinner table. I made sure to get the spot right next to my mate, Lykaois. While our parents and Caleb chatted about important things in the werewolf community, Lykaois and I took this opportunity to get to know each other.
"Is Tia short for something?", my mate asked.
"Yes. My name is actually Larentia, but I don't like it so I prefer to be called Tia.", I answered.
"But Larentia is such a beautiful name."
"Thanks, but so is Lykaois.", I teased.
For what seemed like hours we discussed our interests and our favorite things which were very alike.
While the rest of the party gathered in the living room, Lykaois and I snuck off to be somewhere private. We went through the back and ran outside. We found ourselves sitting on the dock overlooking the lake with our feet in the water.
"I've never met anyone as amazing as you.", Lykaois whispered in my ear.
Lykaois slowly leaned forward and our noses locked. For a moment all we could do was stare. He moved in a little closer and we kissed. I could hear and feel fireworks exploding. My heart was racing. I had never felt so alive or so in love. I had found the one I would be with forever. We broke apart. A voice called from the house.
"I have to leave.", my mate said.
"Is there anyway you could stay a little longer?", I begged.
"I have to go, but I'll be back soon.", Lykaois said longingly.
As he ran off I couldn't feel my legs. My whole body was tingling. I was on cloud 9 again and I didn't want to come down.

Dear Alpha,
WerewolfThe door opened and revealed a man my dad's age and a beautiful woman. I looked over and my eyes were entranced in the beauty of eyes clearer than the sky. My breath hitched in my throat, I couldn't breath. "Mate..." he whispered.
