My Dear Champion (Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Kieran x Reader)

An Unexpected Pairing

We woke up bright and early, our group standing in front of the community center with Ms. Briar along with Carmine and Kieran from yesterday..

"Morning everyone! Did you sleep well?" Ms Briar asked and we responded with a few yeses and yeahs, I kept rubbing my eyes in exhaustion. I was still somewhat sleepy

"Starting today you'll be joined by two of our students at Blueberry academy! Ahem, go on kids, time to introduce yourselves" she turned to the two of them

"Hi! I'm Carmine! It's a pleasure to meet all you outsiders- I mean, visitors from Paldea! Hee hee!" Carmine said, with a bright smile on her face.. she has a major problem with us, yikes

Carmine turned and looked and Kieran, he took it as his sign to speak now

"I-I'm... Kieran" he murmured with a hand over his chest, he snuck a glance at me before looking back down at the ground

"Carmine and Kieran actually grew up here, so ask them for help if you need anything!" our caretaker chimed in before turning to Carmine and Kieran

"You two better be of real help, you hear me?"

"Aye-aye" Carmine rolled her eyes

"R-Right..." Kieran softly spoke

'Now that that's al settled... why don't I tell you all a bit about what we have planned for you? This school trip of yours will be an exercise of orienteering!" Our caretaker explained as we all listened intently

"First we'll split into pairs. Then each pair will be tasked with finding three signboards located around the land of Kitakami. On each signboard, you'll find snippets of an old folktale passed down here in Kitakami. Read them all and learn a bit about our home. To prove you've completed the task, we ask that each pair take a snapshot together in front of these signboards with their phone or camera. Take a photo in front of each of the three signboards to complete your mission! It's a self-guided tour of Kitakami! Learn all about its rich history!" the caretaker spoke, interesting, a slight adventure then

"Much more fun than sitting around and listening to be ramble on and on, eh?"

"Wonderful! hat an innovative idea for a group activity!" Ms. Briar cheered

"Oh, and I've got a gift for each of you as well!" The caretaker added on, handing all of us  Roto-stick, this will definitely help us take good photos!

"I hear these things're all the rage in the big cities. Use them when you take those photos! I'll even teach you a rad pose I came up with all on my own" He exclaimed, I put the stick in my bag. 

"ah, yes. Real... rad" Ms. Briar muttered, turning back to us, she was obviously thinking what we were thinking..

"Remember that one of the goals of this trip is to deepen the ties between our two schools. It seems like having someone who knows the area well would be a big help. That being said.... let's try to maximize the number of interschool pairs, okay? Time to mingle!"

Carmine turned to look over at Kieran, who was looking in my direction, she seemed to have caught onto something? So I walked over to the two

"You're Y/n or whatever, right?" She stated more than asked, and I just nodded

"Let me guess... you want to pair up with one of us poor, lonely blueberry students?"

"I mean, yeah, that's why I kind of came over here..." I muttered that last part to myself

"Gosh, it's so sweet of you to go out of your way like that. What would we ever do without you?" She smiled but evidently was being sarcastic, okay..  not the best idea to come over here maybe..
