Chapter 3

Caroline's POV

I looked at my alarm clock.

12.02 AM. I didn't knew when Klaus was going to leave. I got up. I'd made my decision, I wanted to talk to Klaus. Just a friendly conversation. I wanted to ask him why he was gonna leave us. In the middle of all this. We didn't knew where Katherine were. We didn't knew anything about the risk letting Jeremy wear the ring that had killed Alaric. God. I missed Alaric! He could always help us. Now it's Stefan and Damon who is protecting us. It's great but it was different with Alaric, even if he killed my dad.

Well anyway. I had to talk to Klaus.

I was walking out in the kitchen to my mom.

"Hey mom. I just wanna go out for a while. I won't be long"

She looked at me

"Sure. But what are you going to do?"

"Oh. Just... Visit Stefan. We uhm... Have homework to do"

I gave her a small smile and turned around.

My mom never asked me what I was going to do but maybe it was because she knew what I was, and she knew what everyone else was. Actually it didn't matter cause she knew I wouldn't do anything stupid.

I walked out in the sun and appreciated again Bonnies help with my daylight ring.

I sat in my car and started it.

I drove out to Klaus' house and parked my car.

I took a deep breath before standing out of my car.

Klaus' POV

I was going around the house checking if I had forgotten something. Everything was ready. Elena's blood was the most important thing and I got it all. I was grabbing my back and jacket ready to leave but then. Heard a car outside.

Who was coming now. I was pretty sure I made it clear to everybody that I was leaving now. I couldn't think of who it was, so I looked out of the window.

Shit. It was Caroline. I could not prevent my self from smiling. She had come to face just before I was leaving. It kinda remind me of some movie.

I had to get out and talk to her.

I placed my bags on a little table and walked to the front door where she was knocking.

I opened the door.

"Hallo love"

A smirk was on my mouth. I looked into her eyes.

"What can I do for you"

I was playing nice. She knew I wouldn't change my mind, but I liked the way she had come to me, and wanted to beg me to stay.

But I'd made a choice. I wanted to create a lot of hybrids. Now that I couldn't do anything of Tyler's mysterious disappearance. I liked the way that the sirebond worked. It was nice to have about 20 hybrids to be your slave.

"I... Uhm..."

She looked at me with her big blue eyes. I smiled. Her hair was a mess I swear she had been upset.

"Mmm?"

I teased her.

"I just wanna tell you that... I think it's a stupid idea that you wanna go to Canada, just for some stupid hybrids!!!"

She looked frustrated.

I nodded understandingly.

"Okay. But I don't think you can do anything to stop me Caroline."

I stood in the door looking down at her like an older brother or something. This was a bit funny.

"But! You can't just leave us!!"

This girl got angry very easy.

"Caroline... You can't do anything to stop me. I know you don't like that there is no one to take care of you."

I kinda pissed her off now, but she had to understand this.

"It's not that Klaus and you know it!"

"Well... Caroline you have to tell me why. I'm soon leaving."

She looked upset

"Why is it even necessary? I though you didn't care about the hybrids! Not after Tyler left."

I could see it hurt to talk about Tyler.

"I've found this place with a pack of wolves."

"Whatever Klaus!! You should stay here! Tomorrow everyone could be death just because you're leaving! Don't you care if Elena dies?!"

Now I could tell she was upset.

Did I say something wrong?

"Hey wait! I don't even think you care about Elena, or her precious blood!! You've already got enough to create a lot of hybrids! And that Klaus! That's the only thing you care about!! You and you're stupid hybrids."

I could see the taxi had come now and was waiting.

I got my bags very fast and realised that Caroline was on her way out to her car. I quickly stood in front of her.

"I don't want you to hate me Caroline. But I had to do this. You don't understand it!"

She looked me right into the eyes.

"No! I don't understand it but I though you were better than this! I though you would help us! I really though!!!"

She turned around. I started to walked to the taxi.

Just before I was getting in I turned around again.

"Sorry Caroline"

I whispered, but I knew she could hear cause she turned around to face me.

I looked at her face. It was emotionless, but in her there were tears in her eyes.
