"Uncle Kaoru?" The pink haired man looker over his brush, now giving his full attention to his thirteen year old niece. "Why did I start skating again?"

The man's mouth was left agape, trying to think of an appropriate answer.
"Well, you enjoy it, don't you?"
"Yeah, but when I got on first after I left the hospital, I wasn't that good, so that was my first time, right?"
"Yes, it was." The uncle replied.

"Then why did I start?" The second time the question was asked, the adult started to become emotional, a few loose tears dripping from his eyes. "Uncle Kaoru? Why are you crying...?"

He couldn't answer that.

"I'm sorry, (y/n), but I think that's something you'll have to find out yourself." Cherry replied, using a cloth to wipe his face.
"Myself? How?" The young teen stared down at her own blank sheet of calligraphy paper.
"I believe you will find the answer someday."

As you stood at the starting line beside your twin, many comments were thrown your way.

"Muichiro against Yuichiro?!"
"This beef is going to come to be interesting..."
"Muichiro is clearly going to devour her duplicate!"
"Wait, who is who again?!"

You yawned, keeping your head straight.
"(Y/n), though you don't remember, I really hope we can start over and be like how we were when we were younger."
"I kind of know who you are now, but honestly, I don't really know how I feel about talking with you right now."

Not knowing how to reply to that, the male just looked away from you.
"I'm sorry..."

It didn't take long for the lights to go off after that, you both instantly kicking off. You were sort of surprised that the male was keeping up with you, as you decided to go just below your max speed, creating a thick trail of mist behind you.

"So, how has my old board been for you?" The male asked. You looked back at him through the corner of his eye.
"Good." You then observed his own deck. From what you could tell, it seemed plain black and white.

"I could never bring myself to decorate it." Yuichiro stated. "You designed it last time for me, so it feels wrong for me to have someone else do it." You only hummed at that.
"Why did you leave it with me?"

The question just blurted out from your mouth, throwing the boy off guard when it came to the two of you going around a curve, him just about making it past.

"At the time, I... I was wrong. I cannot reason with what I did then. I left you with my board, saying..." Yuichiro bit his lip before continuing. "Saying that I didn't need someone like you as my sister."

Your expression didn't change at that. The male then continued. "The board only reminded me of you, so I left it." From there, he became even more emotional. "Listen, (Y/n), if I knew you would get ill that day and get amnesia, I would have never left you.

"No, even without knowing, I should have never said anything horrid to you." You stopped, noticing that the male had put a foot down on the floor. "I'm so sorry (y/n). I know that this apology doesn't amount or make up for anything I've done, but I'm begging you..." He then got down on one knee, surprising you. "Please give me a second chance."

You didn't know how to feel about him, honestly. To you, he was just someone who stepped into your life. You don't know the reason you began to approach him, whether it be because of the way he knelt there or his words.

"Yui, I don't really remember you, but after finding out everything and taking in all that you've said..." You bent down to his level, looking him straight in his glossy eyes. "I'm willing to make new memories with you."
