"Elias, is that you?" There was no answer. She called out again. Still no answer. She sighed and spun around only to come face to face with a girl not much older than herself.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you...there." Her voice faltered. The girl was standing close enough to her that her reflection should have shown up in the mirror, except when Sera turned to it, the girl was nowhere in sight.

"How odd..." She turned around again and the girl was still there behind her. "You have no reflection."

The girl didn't say anything, she simply stared at Sera as if she was a hunter analyzing its prey.

The girl was beautiful. Painfully, breathtakingly beautiful. Clear porcelain skin, it was pale; like the color of death. Her hair was a fiery red, perfectly framing her heart shaped face.

Despite the paleness of her skin, her mouth and eyes were a brilliant shade of red. They were the color of blood fresh from the vein.

The feeling in Sera's body returned, this time stronger than it had been before. Her muscles became tense and she reached for her knife that she knew wasn't there.

Why was she doing that? Why did she feel the urge, the need to hurt this girl?

A low growl escaped her throat and she bent down into a stance she had seen Elias and his brothers do whenever they were having a friendly brotherly brawl.

The girl's red eyes widened and she took several steps back. Sera took a step forward and she took another back.

Was she...scared of her?

Sera wanted to open her mouth and tell her that she didn't want to hurt her but her lips remained sealed.

Her body still burned and ached, her subconscious was screaming at her "Kill her! Kill her!"

Sera shook her head, trying to rid the voices from her head. Her brain felt as if it was on fire, burning away at her skull.

Screaming, she fell to the floor. Her dress felt too tight as if it was trying to suffocate her. She couldn't breathe, she couldn't stop the voices screaming at her.

"Sera!" She heard Elias' voice and the sound of his heavy footsteps coming towards her. She stretched out an arm to where she had last seen the strange red eyed girl but she was nowhere in sight.

A single pomegranate seed rested on the ground in her place. And then Sera's vision darkened.
