*KAYLEES POV*
"Kaylee!! Wake up! You're gonna be late for your first day of school!" My mom calls up to me.
Last school year was hell.
So much had happened and I don't even know if I wanna go back this year.
"Kaylee! This is not a joke, get up now!! You don't want the same thing to happen that happened last year, do you?" She asks.
Last school year I missed the first day cause I didn't want to get up. I don't want that to happen again.
"Okay mom, I'm getting up!!" I say, "just calm down..." I mumble under my breath. If she heard me say that, I would be dead.
I put on the outfit I had planned to wear the night before. I'm really praying I don't get dress coded. Again.

My mom prepared breakfast for me again. I don't know why she bothers, she knows I won't eat it.
"Honey, you should really eat something before you go. Please." She begs.
"Mom, I'll be fine, really!" I say, "I can last a couple of hours without eating. And besides, I'll eat at lunch!" Lies.
"Okay.... If you say so. Have a good first day, honey." She gives me a hug before I head out the door.
It seems like I'm early for the bus. I'll just have to wait. I check my phone notifications and realize I got a text from my friend.

Guess who's gonna be in our classes this year!! You will never guess!!
Huh?? Who's gonna be in our class?? I'm confused.
Remember that weird kid Nick from last year?? He was always eating in the bathroom stalls!!
Oh, yeah. I remember Nick. So, he's gonna be in our class??
Yep!! Oh my god this year is gonna be so fun!! Anyways, TTYL! My dad's driving me so I gotta get in the car. See you at school babes!!

I look up from my phone and realize that the bus had been waiting for a minute or two. I quickly run over, a little bit embarrassed I hadn't noticed.
