I walked into my house and the first thing I smelt was beer and cigars. My dad is an alcoholic, he drinks any chance he can. He's also addicted to cigars.
"Well, look who's finally home." My dad yells. He burped and blew it in my face. I hate him.
"Hi. I'm going to my room." I say, "don't bother me."
"Woah woah, who the fuck do you think you are talking to me like that, little boy? You better watch your fucking mouth, or else." He says.

He starts walking towards me, lifting his bottle of beer up. Fuck. I know what's about to happen.
He smashes the bottle over my head, making me knock out. I can't remember anything else from that day, but I remember waking up on the floor, and my mom yelling at my dad.
"What the fuck is wrong with you, Arthur!! I told you no more fucking drinks around the kids, and why the fuck would you smash a bottle over his head!! If this happens one more time I swear to God I will call the FUCKING COPS" my mom screams at him.
She then notices I'm awake and rushes over to me. "Nick... oh my sweet boy. Are you okay?? How could he do this to you...." I love my mom.
"I'm okay mom, really. I just need some ice and medicine.. I gotta go to school...." I say
"Okay, but let me bandage this up, please. I don't want you going to school like this." I nod my head as she bandages me up.
And just like that, I'm out the door. Another school day, here I come.
