"if you guys don't hush your loud mouths right now i'm kicking all you out my bus and you can walk your asses to that camp!" the bus lady driver yells.
the noise dies down a little as we go over a bump in the road. i stare out the window and tuck a piece of my hair behind my ear. luke still sitting next to me, he is talking to some of his other friends who are sitting behind him. i pull out my book and start reading it until i see two large hands appear from above me, suddenly, the two large hands snatch my book out of my hands and i turn around to see one of luke's friends making jokes about how im a nerd for reading. i frown and reach over the seat but my stupid arms are too short, i stand up in my seat and go on my tippy toes and try my best to hold myself up over the seat. and of course, with my luck, i fall. while trying to reach for my book i fall onto the boy sitting in the seat behind me.
"i-i'm sorry-" i say while sitting up uncomfortably
luke glares at me and grabs me by my hips and lifts me up as if i were a feather and pulls me back into the seat next to him. luke also grabs my book and when he turns to face me, my knees are up to my chest and im trembling and shaking.
"hey- it's okay, look, i got your book back- what's wrong?" luke asks in a sweet voice.
"i-im c-cold.." i say when i realize im only wearing a tank top and shorts.
luke digs through his bag and pulls out a hoodie that says
"BOYS FOOTBALL TEAM"
he hands me the sweatshirt and i slip it over my head and feel like im drowning in it.
"uh..it's a little big.." i say, looking up at him through the big hoodie
he pulls the sweatshirt fully over my shoulders and chest, then pulling the huge hood down and the sleeves up, so my hands are visible
"better?" he asks, smiling.
i nod and fiddle with the jaw strings. i take deep breaths and search my bag for a water bottle, im severely dehydrated. and of course i don't have water. awesome,
luke hands me a dark navy blue stainless steel water bottle, my lips part and i look at him.
"you can have some." he says
i smile and open it and take large sips of the cold water before giving it back to him.
he shoves it back in his bag and i lean my head against the window and close my eyes and fall into a deep sleep.
When i wake up, the whole bus is silent, my head is on luke's shoulder and- WAIT WHAT. my head..is on luke's shoulder. i look up a little and see his head leaning back against the seat, his eyes closed. i smile and lean my head back. luke shifts so im laying on my side, my head resting on his lap. i blush. reeealllyy hard. i smile and tuck one hand around his thigh. i close my eyes and feel his fingers running through my hair, my long blonde hair that i just now realized is not in a braid. my long blonde hair that is instead of in a braid, is scattered all over his lap. i clamp my eyes shut and fall asleep.
"alright everyone of yall kids get out of my bus! we're here!" the bus lady driver yells
in deep sleep, i feel someone lift me off of luke's lap. i pout and cling myself to his arm,
"okay, im not sure if you fell madly in love with this hot ass guy or if your just glued to him. GET YOUR ASS UP STELLA!" ares yells into my ear as i groan and finally let go of luke's arm and hang out of ares's arms.
"hey- princess wake up. your highness!! magic fairy princess wake up!!" ares yells while slapping my face a million times gently
i pry my eyes open and push him off me, falling backwards.
