Clues and a stupid camp activity

STELLAS POV

My eyes pry open. I rub them and sit up, look back beside me and luke is gone, look in brian's bed, gone. I begin to panic, grab my phone then see a message and let out a breath i didn't know i was holding.

doing some stupid camp activity, be back soon. love you.♥️

I smile and put my phone back down, then stand up and stretch, i twist my head over to pierces bed and frown, he's still missing. And i know it's not like me, but i miss him. I miss his stupid laugh. His cocky grin. I shouldn't, but how can i not?

I take a deep breath and walk over to sit on pierce's bed, then only to feel something beneath me. I lift up the thin sheet on his bed to find a small grey cassette tape. My brows furrow, I stare down at it and pick it up slowly and carefully.

I flip it over and observe it, then get up and walk over to the small cassette player and insert the cassette tape. I sit on the ground and look up at the screen, seeing a man with a mask on. My gaze flicks to the tall figure, tied up in a chair. bruised and wounded. oh my god, that's pierce. I flinch as the other man who isn't tied up beats pierce. Tears stinging in my eyes. I can't do it, i just can't. I blink the tears away, then angrily snatch the cassette tape back out of the cassette player, throwing it on the ground. I gasp as i see one of the pieces of the tape break off.

"nononono" i whisper to myself as i grab the tape and the small piece.

My hands tremble as i try to stick the piece back on, eventually giving up.

I take a deep breath.

My head shoots up as I hear the door open. Then seeing brian walk in.

"brain, i have to.." I whisper, trying to hold back tears.

"woah woah, stella are you alright?" brain says, sitting down on his bed and sitting me down next to him.

I shake my head no with tears in my eyes.

"tell me what's wrong" brian says soothingly

"i..i found this in pierce's bed and i played it and its.." I exhale a breath I hadn't realize I had been holding.

I open my hand out to reveal the small tape, then the broken piece.

"it's broken" he says, taking it and observing it

"i dropped it." i say

"wait, this is a video of pierce? does it show where he is?" brian asks.

I shake my head no.

"If you're going to watch it, just..be warned. it's not a good video." I say.

He scoffs and gets up from his bed, leaving me sitting there as I watch him put the tape into the player and hear pierces muffled screams. I look at brian and see him staring in fear at the screen, flinching every time the guy punches pierce.

"wow." brian says, taking the tape back out.

"that's some video." brian says.

I stare up at him.

"so-so what do we do?" I ask.

"I mean, if there's any way we could find out where this was recorded, then easily we could find pierce" Brian says

"what about sylas? do you think he's there too?" I ask.

Brian begins to say something before being interrupted by the door flying open and ares collapsing on the floor.

"woah, you good?" brian asks, helping him up.

Ares pants heavily, sitting up and passing me a piece of paper.

"what's this?" i ask, looking at the paper

"it's a map, i found it in sylas's nightstand drawer." ares says, catching his breath.

I look at the map in shock and see it's a map of the camp, leading to the forest, then i see a dried up trail of blood from my cabin to a red X in the middle of the forest.

"do we go to the forest?" brian asks.

I stare down at the map, getting lost in my thoughts. This could really lead to where sylas is.

"wait, I think I remember seeing a small little hut out in that forest." Ares says.

My head twists over to look at ares.

"a hut?" I ask.

"on the night of the bonfire, sylas and I were..walking and stumbled upon that little hut, its almost like a tiny wooden shed. we got creeped out and ran back to the bonfire" Ares explains

I stand up, both of the boys looking at me as I dig through my drawers. I pause and see that they're looking at me funky.

"get up! get dressed we're going in 5 minutes!" I exclaim.

They both get up and ares explains that he's going back to his cabin to get dressed.

"hurry up." I say.

I am not giving up on finding them.
