"Vicki! That purple haired dudes here with his girlfriend again!" Alexis called to the breakroom of Tiffy's, the café her and Victoria worked together at.

"So?" Victoria replied,

"They're your friends!" Alexis sighed, causing Victoria to roll her eyes and walk to the front.

"Awsten! Ciara! Hey!" She smiled, leaning against the counter, talking to the man and his girlfriend, or she assumed so.

"Hi! How are you?" Awsten asked, while his girlfriend was on her phone.

"Im great! How about you? What can I get you today?"

"Im decent! Can I get an iced white mocha, no cream, a shot of raspberry, and an extra shot of expresso? The usual." He smiled, tapping his girlfriend to get her attention.

"I'll have a Strawberry creme frap, with caramel and extra whip please." She ordered and leaned against Awsten. Victoria nodded and started making their drinks.

"Anything new with you?" Awsten propped his elbow up on the counter and spoke softly to Victoria.

"Not really, Cassie's got a crush on this boy at school, who is a senior. Its so odd? I dont know what im gonna do with her." She sighed.

"Jesus, isnt she a freshman?"

"Yeah! I keep telling her 'Dude, thats not okay. You cant do that.' but its like she hates me!"

"Well, you know how teenagers are, especially girls. Maybe you could get Dani to talk to her? Her and Dani are super close, arent they?"

"Theyre like sisters but, i dont wanna burden Danielle with that kind of thing. Its bad enough she baby sits for me all of the time."

"Well, if you ever need a baby sitter, ive got you. I mean, im sure she cant be that bad." Awsten laughed quietly.

"Its okay, but I do need you to talk to her about something." Victoria handed Awsten and Ciara their drinks, Awsten smiled as he got his.

"Hm?" he asked, curious as to what she'd need him to talk to her daughter about.

"She thinks all straight edge people are losers, ive had to confinscate 2 vapes this month and its literally the 17th!"

"Oh, ew. Seriously? Thats- oh lord. When do you want me to come by? Im free all this week pretty much."

"Well, I get off at 3. So, is 4 okay?"

"4 works! Ill see you then!" Awsten smiled as him and Ciara started leaving.

Victoria sighed, walking to the breakroom again, since the shop was empty.

She sat down on a folded chair and held her face in her hands. She felt herself crying, she couldnt help but feel like she was failing as a mother. Her daughter was addicted to nicotine, and talking to older guys. Cassie didnt tell her anything anymore, its like she lost her little girl. She felt the tears start to trickle down her cheeks as she quietly cried to herself. What did she do wrong? Was this all her fault? She pulled her phone out and texted her daughter.
