Mila severely wished that she had gone to bed earlier the night before, her 6 am wakeup call had not been fun when only running on four hours of sleep. She'd almost poured her coffee onto her plant this morning in place of water. Her poor peace lily.
She had grabbed her mail on her way downstairs in the morning and was rifling through it as she walked the mile to her work. She had one letter from her dad who had recently gone on holiday to Corfu for a few weeks and was staying in a lovely hotel on the seafront. He was going to use the holiday as a way to promote his new line of suncream, 50 spf, 48 hour coverage, tinted and moisturising. He was also seeing about getting "Age reverting" added to that list.
She had another letter from Michael Caxton, a fellow ex-camper. He had been a Hermes kid and the two of them had become fast friends. They didn't get to speak much any more, but still tried to write when they could. She knew that Michael still spoke with more people than she did from camp, he had his hands in many different aspects of business and gave his less than legal help to the campers that wanted it. Needless to say, many campers had gotten away with a lot of immoral things thanks to Michael Caxton. He was writing to invite her to his wedding in three months.
Mila reached the Acrefield Modelling Agency at the same time that Meg and Elisa stumbled out of Meg's car.
"Mila!" Elisa yelled and came bounding over to her, throwing her arms around Mila and almost toppling the two of them over, "How did your hot date go?" Elisa's grip was almost bruising and her body ached as if it was punishing her for her late night. The combination of both pains made Mila's stomach roll.
"It went well. Not much of note." Both Meg and Elisa rolled their eyes whilst they looked at her. It felt as if they had planned their attack before meeting up with her. She would have liked to watch that conversation take place, she imagined Elisa scheming whilst Meg silently watched and nodded at all the appropriate places.
The two of them grabbed each of her arms and dragged her into work, giggling to each other all the while. Mila was practically carried through the doors by the two of them. They must have looked quite strange and it certainly wasn't a comfortable arrangement as Elisa was a lot shorter than Meg and so Mila was being carried at different heights on each side.
The three of them reached Mila's desk after many attempts of getting through the narrow door without separating. The rest of the office had been watching them as they crashed multiple times into the walls and other various objects that had been strewn around the place. They were quite lucky to have not broken anything.
"So... Spill." Elisa forced Mila into her seat and shuffled her own chair until it was almost touching. Meg took her usual place sitting on Mila's desk, removing a lollipop from her pocket and beginning to unwrap it. Mila looked between the two women, waiting for them to elaborate, "Tell us everything. I'm not buying 'nothing of not'" Elisa scooted forward even more if that was possible and Mila leaned back until she was almost lying in Meg's lap.
"There was really nothing to comment on. It was nice, we drank and spoke but that was it." She mumbled as she tried to extrapolate herself from the mass of limbs that was slowly forming in their little corner of the office.
"Nuh uh, I'm not good with that. You look like someone has given you a fucking unicorn. No one looks like that with 'just drank and talked'" Elisa had her face pressed up against Mila's by this point. Mila briefly wondered if she kept up with this, would she be able to convince him to give her a Pegasus?
"She's right, babes. You do look particularly giddy today." Meg's voice came from above as she removed the lollipop from her mouth. Mila sighed and pushed Elisa away from her. "I won't deny that you drank and spoke, but something more definitely happened. You're not that subtle babes." Meg ran her hands through Mila's hair, brushing the loose strands out of her face as she stared up at the taller woman.
"Oooh, did you fuck?" Elisa yelled, drawing attention to the group of women, "Get it girl."
Mila rushed to cover Elisa's mouth, glancing around the office to see who had heard Elisa's loud shout.
"No we did not fuck." Elisa licked Mila's hand causing her to yell her protests, "We merely broke into a coffee shop." She muttered as she wiped her hand on her jumper.
The two of them stared at her. In silence.
"Oh just casual breaking and entering?" Meg questioned and hopped off the table, coming to rest on the arm of Elisa's chair so that she could stare at Mila more easily. "And this man is allowed around children?"
"Well he's more forced than allowed. And I didn't say that he was good with kids. I can count on one hand the amount of kid's names that he actually knew." The staring did not stop. It was beginning to become unnerving.
"And you went on a date with this guy?" Elisa questioned as she leaned on Meg's side.
"You're the one that told me to!" Mila yelled at her before remembering that they were at work, "I wouldn't have gone if you hadn't told me to." She hissed at Elisa.
"I wouldn't have told you to go if I knew he was a criminal." Elisa hissed back, inching forward in her seat and causing Meg to momentarily slip as her support was removed.
"Oh so the hundreds of kids I told you about was fine but the small crime, that might I remind you, I also took part in, isn't?" Mila leaned forward to match Elisa.
"Obviously, crime and kids are different." Elisa sighed.
"And yet so often they go hand in hand." Meg commented as she regained her balance on the edge of the chair. Elisa grabbed her to keep her upright.
"Well you're really not gonna like what I say next." Mila leaned backwards as Elisa's attention was focussed on Meg.
They looked at her as if she were insane. "Oh god, what?" Elisa asked, her hand coming to rest on Meg's thigh.
"We're going out again on Saturday." She saw Elisa's eyes glaze over as she took in what Mila had said. Mila waited for the fallout of her words and the immediate anger that was sure to follow them.
"What?! How insane do you have to be to do that!" Elisa grabbed her arms and shook her in her seat. Mila felt her stomach churn at the sudden movement and prayed that she wouldn't vomit on her friends.
Elisa stopped shaking her when Meg pulled her hands away and the three of them sat in silence as they stared between each other. "So what are you wearing?" Meg questioned.

Dionysus was sat waiting for Apollo to turn up as he was sure that he would. His thoughts were consumed with the night before. He knew that the night would have been more fun without his curse, as all nights would be. Still, it was the most fun he had had since Zeus had cursed him. He thought that these two months wouldn't be as torturous as he had originally dreaded them to be.
"So... How'd it go?" He wondered if Mila was having a similar conversation at the moment. Maybe her friends had cornered her or maybe she was staying in for the day as he had wished that he could have done. Sadly, Chiron had dragged him from his rooms.
"None of your business." He replied as the sun god sat down beside him. "Don't you have somewhere more important to be? Isn't father dearest looking for something?" He tried to distance himself from Apollo as he kept moving closer.
"That's boring. I care more about this." Apollo replied, "So... How'd it go?" He questioned again.
Dionysus turned to look at the other god, "It was entirely pleasant. Not, fuck off. Or you can clean out the Pegasus stables if you want to stick around."
"Yeah, I'd rather face all the angry baby mama's than do that. See you around D, don't knock up a half-blood. Don't need a kid that's more god than human." Sometimes he wondered if Apollo remembered that Dionysus was in fact, originally, a half-blood himself.
He laughed, glaring at the man before him, "Fuck off." Apollo disappeared into nothingness.
"Mr. D! The Pegasi have run through the camp!" A Hermes camper came running over to him. Saturday could not come soon enough.
