*******To put it bluntly, Aspen hadn't taken the news well at all.
"Why are you doing this? You don't need to!" Aspen insisted, her blue eyes brimming with tears as she clutched her sister's blouse.
"Aspen, please, I'm coming back," Priscilla assured her, tears welling up in her own eyes.
Merlin stood behind Aspen, his hand resting supportively on her back, while George stood silently behind Priscilla.
Aspen shook her head, her voice rising in desperation. "It's not your problem!" she insisted, even though she knew it was futile. Once Priscilla set her mind on something, it would take a miracle to change it.
George stepped forward, his tone reassuring. "I promise, Aspen. I'll bring your sister back safe and sound."
Aspen looked up at him, her resolve softening. She nodded slowly, trying to accept the situation.
Aspen diverted her attention toward Rick and Daryl, who stood awkwardly nearby. Marching up to Rick, she glared at him. "If anything happens to my sister, I'll kill you," she threatened, her voice steady and fierce.
Daryl looked as though he was trying not to laugh, while Rick nodded in understanding, his expression serious but clearly unthreatened.
Priscilla let out a small laugh at her sister's fierce protectiveness and pulled her into a tight hug. Aspen, smaller and more fragile, nestled into her embrace. Priscilla gently stroked her sister's hair, brushing through it with a soothing touch. "I love you, Asp," she whispered sincerely, her voice filled with emotion. Aspen's tears flowed more freely, and Priscilla added, "I'll be back before you know it."
"You better be," Aspen affirmed, her voice strong despite the tears. A cough interrupted their moment, signaling Rick and Daryl's readiness to leave. Priscilla gave Aspen a quick kiss on the forehead before turning to George, who had a cigarette hanging from his lip. "C'mon, Smokey," she called, gesturing for him to follow.
He rolled his eyes, feigning hurt. "You know, that hurts my feelings."
Priscilla giggled. "Not as much as it hurts your lungs."

"Priscilla," a sweet voice called out. Beth's face appeared, beaming with a large smile as she walked over.
"How're ya, sweet?" Priscilla asked. Beth nodded, indicating she was okay. Priscilla then noticed the old man approaching on crutches, giving her a nod of acknowledgment.
"You must be the new doctor on the block?" Hershel asked, his voice calm and reassuring.
Priscilla smiled up at him, thinking how endearing he was. His voice was soothing, the kind you could listen to for hours.
