part three

"Hey, can I join?" I look up to see Thomas towering over me. I gently nod my head, scooting over a bit so he has space. We're sitting on the dock outside of our beach house watching the sunset. My bare feet are dangling over the edge, the water touching my ankle. We both have our bathing suits on as we were planning to do a late night swim together but I want to watch the sunset first.

"Isn't it just so pretty?" I ask, turning to face Thomas but he's already looking at me with that same glint in his eye.

"What, your or the sunset?" He playfully flirts, laughing at himself.

"Omg Tommy way to ruin everything!" I tuck my head down, hiding the blush that has crept on my face. I can still feel his gaze on me.

When I look up towards again his eyes flicker down to my lips and I feel the heat radiate off of my body. My eyes naturally do the same, looking at his nice, pink lips. He slowly starts to lean in. Oh my gosh. His hand goes to the small of my back and before I have time to process anything, I am in the cold, cold, cold water. Did I mention it was cold?

"TOMMY FUCKING COME HERE!" I shout as soon as I resurface. I cough up water that filled my lungs, almost choking. I cannot believe I just fell for that, I am the biggest freaking fool ever.

Thomas had his head al the way back as he cackles and so I take this as an advantage and grab his leg, pulling him into the water with me. Now I'm the one cackling.

"RILEY!" He yells out my name as he pushes me out further into the water. I swim back over to him, now both of us are laughing our asses off. I grip onto his shoulder as I try to calm down.

"You really thought I was going to kiss you, huh?" He smirks as he grips his tough hands on my bare waist, sending a shiver down my body that I hope wasn't noticeable. His hair was soaking wet, droplets of water running down his face. And don't forget about his bare chest poking out from under the water. I could kiss him right now. Oh yeah. I have an idea.

"I could only hope" I let out a gently sigh and put on a flirty smile, making sure our eyes don't leave each other. Then I break it when I look down at his lips. Target spotted. I cup one of his checks with my left arm and let my right arm slide down to his chest. I slowly lean towards him, still staring at his lips and he starts leaning in to. I try to enjoy the moment for a second until I put my other hand on his chest and push him back and under with all of my strength.

Oh wow, I completely fooled him! Wait a minute. He wanted to kiss me too! He totally leaned into it. I'm freaking fried oh my gosh.

Thomas comes back up from the water and his face looks taken aback. And even under the dark sky, I can see the pink tint on his cheek.

"Who's the fool now?" I smile as wide as possible and I wrap my arms around his neck. His arms automatically snake around my waist and I can feel his breath, it's rigged and fast.

"Well at least we were both fooled." He cracks a smile, though I can tell he's just trying to cover the embarrassment he feels.

"Come on Tommy, it was just a prank. And you pranked me first." I whine, feeling bad for making him embarrassed. He looks at me with his eyebrows furrowed. He looks almost..angry? Hurt? But then his eyes soften as we maintain eye contact.

"I guess I can't be mad at you." He looks down, shaking his head.

"Nope! Now can we get out? I'm freezing." I shiver on cue, and Thomas helps lift me up onto the dock, him following.
