She looked just like Elsa. It was actually quite creepy, like looking into a mirror.
Her name was Elise, that was even creepier. They had the same white-blonde hair, the same shaped nose, heart-shaped lips.
Elsa secretly wondered if they shared the same powers over ice and snow. She assumed not since Elise wasn't wearing gloves, unless she had exceptionally good control over them. Elsa stared at her. Elise stared back.
"Why do you look the same?" Anna asked excitedly.
"I don't know." Elsa and Elise answered in-sync.
They looked at each other. They sure sounded like twins. Neither of them knew whether to laugh or glare at one and other for speaking like that. Elsa didn't know why, but she didn't trust Elise. Not one bit. She worried about Anna, she could be very naive. Obviously she'd believe this girl. This imposter.
"I was adopted." Elise said quietly.
Elsa raised a brow. "Anna, can I speak to you, in private?"
"Sure. Help yourself to some cake!" Anna beamed at Elise, gesturing to the 3 foot tall chocolate cake that Anna and Elsa planned to have for dessert.
"Oh, no thank you." Elise made a face. "I absolutely hate chocolate."
Elsa and Anna turned to each other, the colour was draining from their cheeks. How could anybody, let alone their sister hate chocolate? They exchanged looks of distrust and scuttled into the kitchen.
"We cannot trust her." Elsa sighed. "And before you disagree-"
"I agree." Anna said quietly. "I mean, who doesn't like chocolate?"
Elsa stopped in her tracks. She couldn't believe that naive little Anna believed her. They both wondered what they were going to do about her, they tried to make a plan, but they had no idea who this girl was. Besides, at this point, there was a slim chance that this girl was actually telling the truth.
"Let's just let her stay here for a few days?" Anna suggested.
"Alright. But only on the other side of the castle, we don't need her snooping around our quarters or whatever she's actually up to." Elsa ran her hand through her blonde braid.
"Yes." Anna nodded. "She could want to hurt us."
Suddenly they heard a noise. They turned to face the door and saw someone running away. Elise. She'd heard everything.
Oh no.
