The three women, giggling together in a small circle, glance around the crowd in search of Geoff. Punctuality had never been his thing, and Beth had known that for a very long time, but that doesn't stop her from getting angry at the boy.

After a few minutes of searching, Beth decided to split from the group and ask around.

The blonde gently held on to Allison's arm, trying to keep Allison close to her in order to not lose each other. Allison was nervous, this sort of contact being new to her. "Did I ever get your...uhm..." Allison fumbled, trying to find the right word.

"Name?" The blonde asked, finishing the sentence for Allison. Allison nodded and she answered, "Laura. Sorry about that." Her cheeks turned a bright pink.

Allison places her hand on Laura's, reassuring her. "No, no. It's fine."

They share a small smile at one another, when suddenly Beth nearly falls flat on her face in front of Laura and Allison. "Look who I found!" She dusts herself off and pulls Geoff by the front of his shirt. Geoff smiles and waves at the girls, then looks around in distaste.

"Why am I here again?"

"Because you support gender equality, loser." Beth rolls her eyes and shrugs, then turns herself toward Allison. "He can act really stupid sometimes."

Allison giggles at Beth. Geoff rolls his eyes back at Beth and they start bickering again, smacking and slapping each other.

"Like a couple of children." Laura sighs and shakes her head, but Allison could see a small grin taking over her lips.

After a few hours, the crowd grows more aggressive. People began pushing and shoving each other, throwing things at buildings, and screaming death threats and profanities. Allison decided that those few calm hours were enough for her, but Geoff had finally just started having fun. He had two women clinging to his arms, a completely new outfit on, and a microphone in hand. It's safe to say that Geoff was the one getting the crowd rowdy.

Laura and Beth had noticed how uncomfortable Allison was getting, but they couldn't leave Geoff behind. Aggressive crowds get dangerous, and at the end of the day, Geoff would be terrified if something bad happened and he was alone in such a large crowd.

Beth shouted at Geoff, demanding he get away from the crowd, as Laura pleaded with him and begged for him to leave, even if it was just for Allison's sake. He refused, though, but regretted it only minutes later.

___

Geoff had finally agreed to go home, relieving the angry and desperate girls. They were quick to race to the side of the crowd, Beth pulling Geoff by the shirt to be sure he followed them. Laura had her arm connected with Allison's, having never let go since the moment they got to the protest.

Allison stopped her friends, wanting this moment to last a little longer, as it was their first outing together. She squeezed Laura's arm and smiled at Geoff and Beth. "Thank you, guys. You really are the best friend-"
