emma walked into the lunch room after successfully getting away from alisha. what alisha said did get into her head a little bit. she knew that camila would get mad, camila would get mad at anything emma did without her knowledge. emma scoffed to herself camilia and her whole group treated her like she was some sort of robot that needed guidance.

she looked around the cafeteria with hope that she would soon spot the table with the triplets and vicky on it. she very much hated standing in an populated area. she probably looked so awkward right now.

luckily for her however, she spotted matt's beautiful brown locks not too far away from where she was standing. she walked straight over there when nick waved at her confirming that it was their table.

once emma got over to the table she put her stuff down next to her sitting next to vicky.

"hey girl! I feel like I haven't seen you like at all this week" vicky voiced which was unfortunately true

after vicky left the boys house emma hadn't contacted her at all over the weekend. and they hadn't really hung out much the week prior

"I know I'm sorry, I've been busy with homework and then this weekend I was busy with some personal stuff" the blonde told her

when the end of the sentence left the girls mouth emma and matt locked eyes, both knowing deep down it was truly because of each other.

"you know you can talk to me about it if you need to right?" vicky asked putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder

"yeah thank you" emma smiled softly

"so...I saw alisha jacobson come up to you after class. what was that all about?" chris asked putting his Pepsi down

"she asked why I was talking to you! and then she has the nerve to say that camilia is going to get mad at me because I'm sitting over here with you guys instead of over there with them" emma exclaimed rolling her eyes

"that bitch!" nick yelled a little to loudly getting stares from everyone around them while emma just glared at him

"sorry, my bad"

"you seriously need to drop them girl, what do I keep telling you" vicky told her

"its not that simple, you know that, trust me if it was that simple I would have dropped them a long time ago" emma explained

matt stole a small glance in the blonde's direction wishing that life could be simpler. they might have still had this awkward phase anyway, but its so much worse with the cards that they were delt with. her friends do have a huge part to play in the anxieties that both matt and emma have, and it sucks that they can't just leave her alone.
