"God damnit- where am I now?" Zeriox looked around. Nice houses, actual houses. Not his usual abandoned buildings, shitty motels, and apartment complexes. He pulled out his phone and went onto a GPS.

"19 miles...no, keep going... 27 miles!? I gotta do that on foot? Hell no, where's my ride at? Where is Arkadi.." Zeriox pulled out his phone and tried to call Arkadi, but nobody picked up. "Really!? Right now!?" He had to hold back from throwing his phone across the road. "Screw it, I've been through worse. Surely I wont get kidnapped, killed, or worse. And don't ask what is worse than being killed." He talked to himself as he set off walking.

"My phone will go dead eventually." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "This'll be fun."

Every three miles he took a break, but at his fourth break, a woman pulled up beside him. "Do you need a ride?"

Zeriox quickly nodded in excitement. The girl looked friendly. Dyed green hair, blue eyes, overall friendly vibe. Zeriox got into the car and looked at the girl. She smiled at him. "My name is Trixie, I was headed home to my boyfriend, but I'd love to help out a stranger. Where to?"

"15 miles to [redacted] apartment complex."

She set off driving. "I've been there before, my boyfriend used to live there until we got together, he decided to fix himself up. Still hasn't managed to get rid of his smoking issue." She chuckled to herself.

"Uhm.. what's he like?"

Trixie looked exited. "His name is Cirius! He has like the exact same outfit you have on at home I'm pretty sure."

Zeriox started shitting bricks. This is the girlfriend of the guy he fucked.. "Awe... that's nice." He gulped and looked out the window, avoiding eye contact.

Oh shit- oh shit- oh shit- What do I do..? Ohhh god- I feel sick..

"Stop the car! Stop the car!" Zeriox looked panicked.

Trixie slammed on the breaks and Zeriox opened the door, throwing up on the side of the road. Trixie got out and stood beside him, rubbing his back. "Were you drinking last night?"

Zeriox nodded.

"Funny... You're wearing an outfit just like my boyfriend's, he said he was having a party last night with beer, you drank last night, you came from the direction of my home, and...your reaction when I said 'Cirius'.."

Zeriox looked down at the concrete as Trixie's hand went up towards his neck, yanking at his hair.

"If I myself wasn't cheating, I'd be real pissed right now. Be thankful. Now get back in the car. I'll get you home."

Zeriox nodded quickly and got into the car. Trixie got back in as well and continued driving to the apartment complex where Zeriox and Arkadi stay.

The whole mood changed, Trixie had a straight face, completely different from the cheerful facade she wore halfway through the ride.

Zeriox, on the other hand, was nervously staring forward. There were many things that man didn't fear, but one thing he did, was women.

The rest of the ride is silent until Trixie makes a stop. "We're here, get out."

Zeriox nods and steps out the car. He goes to look back. "Thank y-"

She immediately drives off.

Zeriox felt like three grown ass muscular men were just pulled off of him. He sighed in relief and ran to his apartment, knocking on the door.

"Arkadi! Arkadi! Helllloooo!?" He kept knocking.

Arkadi quickly opened the door and dragged Zeriox inside. "You're okay!" Arkadi said happily. "I didn't know what happened! The WiFi was out, I can't reply to you or call you back.. You worry me too much!" Arkadi looked anxious and excited at the same time.

"I'm fine, stop worrying about me.." Zeriox smiled and blushed slightly, looking away. Once he managed to straighten up his face he looked at Arkadi with a wide smile.

"I'm back home for a while, Kadi."
