"CHEEEEEEEEEERS!"
Everyone shouted on top of their lungs.
Today was the Business Administration department send-off party for their graduating students. They are all having fun at the simple barbeque party at a small barbeque place they rented that the department higher ups, professors, and student-leaders organized.
Each and everyone of the soon to be graduates are celebrating the fruit of their labor, enjoying the food, and also, getting wasted a week before the big event, however, there is this one person who seemed to have an internal conflict with himself.
While everybody is having fun, Lee Chan, also known as Chan looks like he's having an existential crisis, spacing out while holding the tall glass of beer in his hand, while the other is resting on his chin.
"Hey, Chan! Are you okay? You seem to have something on your mind." his classmate, Mark Lee, stated in a concerned tone
Oh well, not something, but someone is on his mind right now "What do you think?" Chan replied as snapped out of his trance, the brunet chugged the half of his drink straight to his throat, then he looked at the other male who subtly rolled his eyes before smiling at him
"Come on, man! I thought you left chaemin in your mother's care? Yah, don't tell me you're nervous because you're not with your child at this time?" Mark nagged at his friend who only snorted as response
Yes, the lad already has a beautiful 2-year-old daughter who goes by the name Lee Chaemin, if you're wondering how? Well, that's another story to tell.He was not supposed to attend the send-off party (which we all can tell) because firstly, they did not require them to attend, it is just for people who wanted to have some fun before leaving their student life, secondly, Chan is not fond of parties, lastly, going back to the first sentence, he have a kid, so coming home to Chaemin is his priority after school.
It's just that, Mark, got down to his knees just to convince Chan to join the send-off party. According to the former, he would go back to Canada right after their graduation, and this party would be the last chance for them to bond, so it left Chan no choice but to leave Chaemin to his mom and bond with Mark for the last time.
"Try to have a kid, then let's see if you can still say that." the brunet said in a bored tone, sour expression was evident on his face
"No thanks, man." Mark responded "But come on, it's not like auntie will make her starve or something!"
"You don't understand, Mark!" Chan was close to bursting out and embarrassing himself, luckily, mark and him were sitting on the outmost corner part of the spot they rented, he then took a deep breath and look at Mark with an apologetic expression "I am supposed to be reading her some bedtime stories by now." he pouted, the brunet clearly dislikes the idea of missing out being with his daughter.
Mark faked a hurting expression to the brunet "I am hurt, Chan!" he said dramatically, acting like he's stabbing himself
Smiling was all Chan could answer at the dramatic male sitting across him. He actually gave mark an option to ditch the party and just join him and Chaemin for the night, but the male was craving for alcohol, but it was off-limit to Chan's apartment.
While the noise of the food cooking and glass clanking, the brunet then decided it was fun to roam his eyes around the barbeque place. It wasn't only the Business Administration department who rented the place, but there is also a group of people who are with them on the floor; Chan assumed it was business people because they are dressed in a suit, minus the coat.
