you're sick

Jurin tried to bring you a little comfort by brushing her hand across your back as you threw up into the toilet.

It was almost three in the morning and you woke up a little while ago after finally drifting off to sleep for a few minutes because you felt sick to your stomach for hours tonight until it finally hit you.

Jurin, however, has been wide awake with you tonight, even during those few minutes that you slept.

With how nauseous you were and how terribly your stomach ached, she knew it was only a matter of time until this happened and she wanted to be here for you.

As you vomited, Jurin rubbed your back with one hand while using her other hand to hold your hair back.

She hated seeing you so unwell and hearing the whimpers leave your lips from how awful you felt and how agonizing this was.

But not for a single second did she judge you or let you go.

She loves you more than anything and she wasn't going anywhere.

You stopped throwing up for a moment and leaned against her as you tried to catch your breath.

"I've got you." She whispered softly. "Are you alright, darling? Do you feel better?"

You shrugged your shoulders in response because you were out of strength and energy and you just couldn't respond verbally.

But Jurin didn't mind, she just tried to soothe you as you shivered from the chills.

"You've got the chills, baby?" She spoke as she reached around to feel your forehead. "Yeah, I get why. You have a fever."

You groaned as your stomach began to feel funny again, the same discomfort you felt before starting to return.

Before Jurin could ask if you were going to be sick again, your mouth started to water once more and you moved to throw up into the toilet yet again.

"Okay, it's alright." She said as she rubbed your back again. "It's okay, darling. Let it out. I'm here with you, you're okay."

You continued to puke for a few minutes, though it felt more like an eternity because it was so agonizing.

But when your stomach settled and you stopped vomiting, you pulled away once more and exhaled shakily before closing the lid of the toilet and flushing it.

You were trembling and felt so awful that you couldn't move.

Jurin continued to soothe you the best she could as you tried to catch your breath and relax for a couple of minutes.

Although you still felt awful, this was the best you felt in hours because your stomach had been so achy before and you'd felt so nauseous that you couldn't even move and both of those things were finally gone now.

"Ready to go back to bed?"

"I don't know."

"You feel sick again?" She worriedly asked.

"No. But my body is aching and I don't think I can move."

"I'll help you." She whispered and kissed the back of your neck softly before standing up.

You took her hand and stood up before leaning against her.

"I want to brush my teeth real quick."

She nodded and helped you to the sink so you could brush your teeth and tongue.

As you did so, Jurin kept one hand on your back and used her other to grab a couple of things from the drawers.

The thermometer and some medicine to help with your fever were what she grabbed and by the time she was done, you had finished brushing your teeth.

"Better, my love?"

You nodded.

"Good. Let's get back to bed." She said before turning the bathroom light off and helping you to the bed.

You crawled under the covers and she tucked you in, bringing them up to your shoulders.

"Let's check your temperature." She said as she sat beside you and gently placed the thermometer under your tongue.

She watched as the numbers on it just continued to climb and climb until it finally beeped a moment later.

"Almost one-hundred and two. Alright, let's get some medicine in you. It'll help with your fever and your body aches. Later, I'll go to the store and get you some flu medicine."

She grabbed the glass of water that she got you a little while ago.

You lifted your head a little and parted your lips so she could place the medicine on your tongue.

Bringing the glass of water to your lips, she watched you take a few sips and swallow the medicine down before you laid your head on the pillow again.

"Are you warm enough?" She asked as she set the glass back down on your nightstand. "Feeling better than before?"

"Yeah, I'm warm and feeling okay. But I think I'd feel a little better if you were cuddling me."

She smiled and kissed your forehead softly, letting her lips linger on your skin for a few seconds before she got up and went to her side of the bed.

She laid down beside you and you cuddled up to her before putting your head on her shoulder and letting your heavy eyes close.

"Jurin?"

"Yes, darling?"

"Please get a little rest."

"I will after you fall asleep. But promise me that if you feel sick again or you need me for any reason, you'll wake me up right away."

"I promise." You said as you started to fall asleep. "Thank you for being here for me and for caring for me. I love you more than you know."

"I love you too, baby. So much." She spoke and kissed your head softly before watching and listening as you fell asleep in her arms.

A few minutes went by of her holding you and waiting to see if you woke back up before her mind began to calm down.

At last, you were getting some good sleep because you felt better now, and that made her feel much better too.

She closed her eyes and let your breathing help her drift off to sleep.

But she was ready at any given moment to wake up again to be with you and care for you however she could.

You weren't going to go through this terrible sickness alone.

She'd do whatever she could to help you feel better because she loves and cares about you more than words could ever express.
