I have known love since the dawn of ancient days
When father took a hold of me
And mother forsaken the knowledge of the world inside the palms of my hands.
I have known love back then.
I have seen love in the droplets of mists on the tip of the grass slowly melting and
When the cloud broke down in rain to
Calm the raging earth in her summery days.
I have heard love when the silhouettes sang-
mother's agony for passed loved ones were comforted by father in the next room
Through the shadows of night, painted on the white walls by moonlight-
I have known love then.
I have sensed love when a baby kissed my nails
In the running train, under fleeting time before dropping off in his station, calling by a name
I have never known: yet I responded cause
I have known love but not in a name.
I have tasted love when the person in my dream
Kissed me thrice on lips, and I know I would never get a hold of them, for they never existed but in my head. I wish I have known love then.
I have had love in forms, in matters, in metaphors, in terms, and yet I wish I have known
That what it had with you was not love but pain.
An impasse of life and a stinging of tear stains.
I have known love but with you.
