Chapter One- 'It's Him?'

"Good morning, everyone!" Hong Cha Young cheerfully walked into her law firm.

"Good morning, Ms. Hong!"

"Who am I meeting today?" She walked into her office with her assistant, Seo Miri.

"You have a meeting with Ms. Jeon, for her divorce case. Then you have the defendents rights meeting with Ms. Kwon. And then you have a meeting with Mr. Jang, as he was interested in the deal you set for him. So I booked an appointment with him, as I knew you were free." she replied sweetly.

"Not quiet. I have to prepare for the murder case of Mr. Park, the cassino onwer. Mr. Kim's wife is ill, so he is gone, which means the case is all up to me." She sighed, sitting at her desk.

"ommo! That's a big one. But Ms. Hong, you have a lot piled up on you already for the entire month. How are you going to make time for the trail?" Miri asked, concerned.

"I dont know. All I know is that I'm doomed." She put her head on the table lazily.

"God, I don't even have the time to be winning right now!" She instantly gets up and takes the case file for the murder of the cassino owner.

She began reading through it and jotting down notes on how to save the accused and find the real culprit of this case.

Her job for this case was to be defending Mr. Gil, the accused. Additionally, she wanted to punish the actual culprit, who, for now, she thinks is Mr. Lee. Mr. Park's best friend.

"Ms. Hong." Miri called her, catching her attention.

"Ne?" She continued writing stuff down.

"How are you so sure that we will be able to save Mr. Gil, when we aren't sure if your prime suspect, Mr. Lee is the real culprit.

"I'm sure Mr. Lee was behind the murder. Even Mr. Kim agreed with me. When we interrogated Mr. Lee, he had this mischievous expression on his face. It's like he knew everyone was aware that he committed the murder, yet he also knew that there was no evidence to prove that."

"You telling me, based on the smile on his face, you and Mr. Kim agreed to believe he was to real culprit?" Miri raised her eyebrows.

"Yes." She chuckled. "You'll understand when you see him. His vibe.." she paused to find a good word to describe him. But failed to do so. "It's bad. Like when you look at him, you won't see an ounce of grief. Mr. Park was apparently one of his closest friends, so how come he isn't even a little upset about his death. It's extremely odd. And what's more odd is that he isn't even cooperating with the investigation. So, for now, he is the prime suspect to me."

"But that's not what the police think. Mr. Lee is not really a prime suspect to them. Apparently, all the evidence is against Mr. Gil. Even I think it's him, " Miri opposed.

"Mr. Gil had a mere quarrel with Mr. Park, hours before he was found dead at his home Miri. Personally, this seems like a setup. Also, what are the chances that this 45 year old man, who worked for and was loyal to Mr. Park, all these years, murdered him based on a quarrel." Hong Cha Young was adamant to prove her point.
