Settling in

Jackie's Pov

Later that day Will showed me my room and I went to bed. I woke up in the morning, remembering all the events from yesterday. I met the Walters' but god they have a lot of children. I remember Benny, Taylor... right Taylor. I wonder how she feels being the only girl in their family. Then Jordan was a bit weird. Nathan and Danny weren't so bad so was Will. Issac and Lee well Issac is kinda nice but Lee not so much and their clearly not Walters. Then there was Alex and Cole. Alex was sweet and inncoent and Cole was cold but fascinating. It was like I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I shook my head and got everything ready for school. I got my books and my pencils and special tools I would need for different classes. I headed downstairs and saw everyone leaving. Katherine smiled at me and gave me a plate. 

I grabbed an apple and headed out. I looked at the car they were in and groaned. Cole looked at me and smiled.

"What you waiting for New York, get in."

It almost looked as if he was smirking. I sighed and walked towards the car when Alex opened the door and stepped outside. I went in and he came back in as well. Soon we headed off.

*20 minutes later*

A lot of girls were outside waiting for someone to arrive. Then I heard people calling out to Cole and that's when I realized that the girls were there for him. He parked the car and shouted:

"Everyone the bus leaves at 3:30 sharp, sharp-Alright." 

He chuckled and came out. I sighed and stood still. Danny and Nathan looked at me confused.

"Hey don't be worried, we'll show you where your classes are."

"Really?"

They nodded and I came out of the car. I looked at the school, not amazed nor disgusted just indifference. Cole crossed his arms and lean on the car trunk. 

"So what you think."

I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or sincere. 

"It's... big."

He laughed a bit

"Not like them fancy Manhattan schools, huh."

"Cole!"

I turned around to the voice of girl. She walked past me and went over to Cole. He kissed her and gently took her neck. He soon pulled away and smiled. Ofc he has a girlfriend. He wrapped his arms around her waist and looked back at me. 

"Good luck today, New York."

She looked back at me but soon turned back around. We walked towards the door, I followed close behind

"Is she his girlfriend?"

Danny looked at me then back at them

"Erin. Yeah sometimes. Cole doesn't really date. He has girls he hooks up with but always ends up with Erin."

He took me into a classroom and he stood by the door.

"Good luck."

I looked around and saw an empty seat, right next to Alex. I approached him

"Alex can I sit here?"

His eyes shifted a bit but smiled.

"Yeah ofc." He shut his book and put it away

"Don't stop for me."

"No it's okay I've read it before."

In the corner of my eye, I saw a girl looking at us. I turned to her and she turned back around. Alex looked away and the teacher came out.
