Jackie's Pov

I walked in, delighted at the sight of my fundraiser. Everyone was donating and having fun. I entered into the room with my tablet and smiled as I looked everywhere. There was even college students here. Damn I actually did it. Soon after, one of my friends walked up to me. 

"Hey. Great party Jackie."

I shook my head and laughed

"It's not a party, it's a fundraiser but thanks." She nodded

We both looked around. I exhaled in joy and something popped up in my mind.

"The caterer! Did you contact the caterer?"

She nodded and took a sip of her drink

"I got it all taken care of."

We talked for another 20 minutes until someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned around smiling but it soon disappeared. 

"Uncle Richard? What are you doing here?" 

He sighed and took my tablet. He took me by the shoulders and led me outside where I was told the worst news in my life.

*6 months later*

Life has really taken me by surprise, it's full of problems and mysteries that I never thought I would stumble upon. Last year I was hosting a fundraiser to be on track to my Priceton dream. Now I've just come off a airplane and landed in Colorado to meet the 'Walters'. With my airpods in my ears listening to music, I walked around the airport with my bags. I stopped when I heard a sudden ring on my phone, it was my Uncle Richard. I picked up.

"Hey!"

I faked smiled and nodded

"Hey." 

"How was your flight?"

"It was okay." 

"Great well do you see them yet?"

I looked around, trying to get a sight of them. Then I saw them walking in the crowd trying to spot me. They walked towards me.

"Yeah I see them. I gotta go Uncle Richard."

"Alright I'll see you soon kiddo."

I hung up and put my phone in my pocket. Katherine came up to me first and sighed. She hugged me and I hugged her back.

"How are you?" 

I nodded and faked smiled for what it seems like the 12 time today. George came up to me and held me shoulder.

"Hey Jackie."

"Hey George."

He walked behind the trailer to carry my bags. 

"So do you want something to eat or drink before we go? Maybe some water or coffee-"

I cut her off

"I'm fine."

She smiled and we headed to the car. 20 minutes in and I was bored so I turned on my phone and looked at some news reports. I hit one and listen in. They were talking about fashion design and then... my mother, my dad and Lucy. I quickly turned it off and took out my airpods and turned off my phone. Soon we arrived and I saw a modern home. I got out the car and Katherine led me in the house. She looked on her phone and took a call.

"Excuse me, hello?"

She walked off and I was left alone. Suddenly someone rushed up to me but I quickly dodged.

"Move!"
