The following day, after having breakfast and dressing in more mundane clothing, Cronika took the princess out to an open area of the forest. Merely for a simple training exercise, to see that her fighting skills have not become rusty and to prepare her in case she isn't there to protect her from danger. On the way, (Y/n) tried to mask some of her excitement at the moment. Her mind kept flashing back to her encounter with Poseidon the previous night. His hands on her hips, the shiver that went down her spine when he whispered in her ear, all of it caused her heart rate to increase and her face to flush.
She quickly shook her head to snap back to reality and continued to follow Cronika to their training location for the day.
Once they arrived, Cronika took out her mini red rod, that had a rubies encrusted within the center and lower hem, before pressing a button to make it extend into a staff.
"Alright, remember, don't hesitate at all. Come at me with everything you have" Cronika said, while smiling confidently and twirling her staff a little.
"Hmph, yeah, don't worry....." (Y/n) replied, before creating her own staff out of her own cosmic energy, while also giving her a confident grin. "I wasn't planning on it"
Cronika smirked and readied herself in a defensive stance, already starting to become impressed at the princess' display.
"Good, I'm glad to see you haven't lost your confidence." She began moving slowly around her, a playful look on her face.
"Come on then, show me what you've got"
Her grin also grew, before she began attacking with everything she got.
Cronika quickly and skillfully blocked and dodged the princess's onslaught of attacks, but it was clear she was having to work a bit to keep up.
"I see your skills are still impressive as ever," she said, dodging another strike, "but I'm still not going to go easy on you!"
After dodging another attack, she retaliated by attempting to smack (Y/n) in the hip with her staff.
"Ha! I'm just getting started" She replied, after flipping back to dodge it, before dispersing the energy of her staff into gauntlets and attacking her fist and legs instead.
