Nova was not happy that they were at the City Of Bone. This place gave her the creeps and not to mention that she had to sit and listen to Jace be close with Clary.

When they arrived to the entrance, everyone stepped out of Simon's van. They were under a bridge and there wasn't anyone around which made it way creepier.

Nova leant against the vans side, it looked like she was just chilling but in reality, the bracelet was draining her, just as it had done before. But she was stronger now and could fight against it. Or so she thought.

"Yeah, this place isn't creepy." Simon said airily, "Not at all."

Isabelle chuckled, "Don't tell me you're afraid."

Simon scoffed, looking to Isabelle, "Are you kidding me? I was born afraid... which sounded a lot better in my head."

"Let's check it out." Alex said as Isabelle chuckled at Simon's comment. Nova was still leaning against the van, worried that if she stopped, she'd collapse. Alec noticed that she wasn't following and turned back to her, "Nova, you coming?"

"Mhm. I'll be there in a second." Nova said, trying to shake the draining away. It wasn't working.

"Alec go, she can go with me." Isabelle said softly to their brother. Alec nodded before walking away, Clary and Simon stayed by the van while Izzy and Nova searched the left.

"What's going on?" Isabelle asked her sister, who she was holding at the waist for support.

"Nothing." Nova lied.

"Liar. What's happening?" Isabelle asked again. She noticed Nova look down before realising what was happening, "Take it off."

"What? Izzy, no." Nova denied. Nova couldn't take it off, if she did she wouldn't know what's going to happen, and that's more dangerous.

"Nov... it's too dangerous to wear it. That's why Alec locked it away in the first place." Izzy started.

"Yeah! I know! Because I'm the one who had to deal with the consequences of it!" Nova shouted to Isabelle.

"Yes! That's why I want you to take it off! I don't want a repeat! I can't watch you go through it again, Nova!" Isabelle said, worry in her words and on her face.

"Then don't." Nova said before walking away, back to the van where Clary and Simon were still stood. Isabelle went to the boys. Nova sat down on the floor, back to the van, knees to chest.

"Hey, are you okay?" Simon asked, seeing the girls weakened state. Nova couldn't get out more than a nod. Jace called Clary over, saying it was all clear. Clary took Simon with her. Nova stayed in her spot.

Simon and Isabelle came back to the van, where no Nova was sitting. Isabelle looked at their surroundings confused, her sister couldn't have gotten far with how drained she was, "She's probably just gone on a walk."
