Two Years Later
It's been two years since All Might nearly strangled Ash-Born to death. Despite his public apology, the incident severely tarnished his image in the media. The public's anger was palpable, especially since Ash-Born had traveled from America to Japan specifically to learn from him. The incident almost fractured the diplomatic relationship between Japan and America, prompting the president, usually composed, to publicly denounce All Might's actions.
And at home because of the vision he saw during the fight with Ash-Born, All Might's relationship with Izuku had deteriorated further. Despite maintaining a facade of normalcy in front of the family, he harbored a deep resentment towards Izuku, viewing him as a constant reminder of his failures.
At Aldera Junior High
In a bustling classroom at Aldera Junior High, the homeroom teacher stood behind his desk, a pile of papers spread before him, his expression brimming with excitement.
"Okay, everyone, you're in your third year now! In other words, it's time to start thinking seriously about your future!" The Teacher said as he slammed his hand down on the pile of papers for emphasis, his enthusiasm infectious. His eyes scanned the room, landing on each student, taking in their eager expressions.
"I should distribute these career aspiration documents, but—" He paused, savoring the moment. The students leaned forward in their seats, anticipation written all over their faces.
"I know you all have ambitions to go into the hero section." With that, the teacher tossed the papers into the air. The students erupted with excitement, activating their quirks in a chaotic display of power and energy. The room filled with flashes of light, bursts of fire, and gusts of wind as the students showcased their abilities.
"Sir, please, don't lump me in with these losers." The room fell silent as everyone turned toward the voice. Katsuki Bakugo stood with a smug look on his face, his eyes gleaming with confidence and arrogance.
"As if I have anything like their crappy quirks." His statement provoked an outburst of anger from the other students. They shouted at him to get over himself, their faces contorted with irritation. Izumi and her friends exchanged weary glances, sighing in unison. Katsuki had become even more arrogant and aggressive over the past two years. Although Izumi and some of her friends had stopped bullying Izuku, Katsuki and a few others had not. Despite their efforts to curb his behavior, they eventually gave up.
"Ahh, Bakugo, you must be aiming for U.A. High School, right?" The teacher's voice was tinged with admiration, despite the chaos Katsuki's words had caused.
"That's right! I aced the mock exam, and I'm the only one here with the stuff for U.A. I'll even surpass All Might and become the best hero out there." Katsuki says his voice filled with a mixture of pride and disdain. His eyes burned with determination, and a slight sneer curled his lips as he looked down on his classmates.
"You do know that you're not the only one applying for U.A., right?"
"Yeah, but those extras will never reach my level."
Hearing Katsuki boast about himself, Izuku couldn't help but let out a small sigh. He just couldn't understand what was wrong with him. He looked at Katsuki, who stood radiating confidence and arrogance, and felt a pang of frustration. Ignoring Katsuki's rant, Izuku looked at his hand. Suddenly, a white light emerged from his palm, and with a swift motion, it transformed into a chopstick and in an instant, he caught a fly that had been buzzing around him, then watched as it turned to ashes in his hand. A small smile appeared on his face as he turned his attention back to the class, still arguing with Katsuki.
