<NAAZ INAYAT>

Pani puri is love!!!

When you live in boarding school the most delicious thing you miss is
pani puri . Atleast that's what I missed.

The taste of the mashed potato melted in my mouth and the spice adding flavor. Perfect.

"Bhaiya bass ho gaya. Ye lijiye paise" My best friend purnima said to the pani -puri wale bhaiya handing him the money.
(Brother that's enough. Take the money)

Purnima and I are friends since childhood and also we are neighbors. Since childhood we do everything together we eat together, we sleep together, we get scolded together, we also roast people together. This togetherness continued when we were sent to boarding school together.

Now after spending our precious 7 years in boarding we are back to our city,to our parents and siblings, our sweet home to continue rest of our studies here.

My phone rang in my pocket breaking my train of thoughts. Quickly handing the shopping bags to Purnima, I picked up the call.

"Hn maa" I said as sweetly as I could.
(Yes mother)

"Ghar aana hai ki nahi" My mother's voice boomed in my ears.
(Do you want to come home or not)

"Agle aadhe ghante mein ghar aajana warna ghar hi mat aana" My mom warned.
(Come home in the next 30 minutes or don't come home at all)

"Coming" I said and cut the call.

Purnima looked at me and nodded her head depressed.

"What" I asked questioning her behavior.

"One more call from either of our moms and we are homeless" She said and exhaled a deep sigh.

"Leave it... Ab toh roz roz ka ho gaya hai" I replied scrolling through Instagram reels while we walked on the footpath.
( it has become a daily routine now)

"See he posted a new reel" I almost jumped out of excitement as I showed the phone to the girl beside me.

"What do see in him?" She said making an uninterested face. "You don't even like his content, how the hell did you got a crush on him? "

"His eyes, his hands, his nose, his face" I said dreamily "I love it all just except for his bike" I said and walked ahead of her to cross the road.

The was surprisingly less crowded today only 2 to 3 vehicles passing now and then. This is not usual for my city to be calm in the evening or night.

Check left and then right and then cross the road.
That's what papa had said to me in my childhood . And i did the same, I checked left and then right. All clear, except for my kishmat!!!
(Fate)

Just as I took 2 step into the road a bright light blinded my wide eyes coming from the right side towards me. I froze at my place my legs numb and my eyes closed tight ready to meet complete darkness in hell.

SCREEECH....

The sound of applying break cut the silence of the surrounding. I felt a pair of hands dragging me towards the footpath again.

" Naaz... Naaz" Purnima's worried voice brought me back from whatever momentary coma I was in and then the reality hit me.

This bloody biker!!!
